Yes I am right that this BLUE will sink without a trace like LADY BLUE. And I am saying this to all of you as my expectations was also higher before watching this movie but alas as the movie progresses ahead scene after scene it proves again that all of the highest expensive movies have most of style but no substance at all which is the main requirements to make a movie at its best which most of the directors and producers forget to put it in their film at all . So most of their films fail at the box office as they have no power to attract audiences at the theatres by their strong storyline.
Now about the film, first of all there is no story at all but most of the film shows the glimpse of underwater and their creatures and about the characters in the film[Sanjay, Akshay, Zayed, Lara, Katrina, Rahul Dev & Kabir Bedi]in the first half . Nothing is there in the first half except some dialogues, stunts, songs which is not enough to make this film interesting.So as you expect something thrilling will happen in the second half but alas there is also nothing as such to make this film worth watch.
Its about a treasure which sank with the ship named LADY BLUE in which Akshay`s grandfather Kabir Bedi was the captain so everyone finds Kabir bedi guilty for that so his lost his job from navy and he commits suicide . So his grandchild [Akshay] tries to return the lost honour of his grandfather by doing many tricks and using Sanjay, Zayed, Rahul and of course his wife Katrina to get back the lost treasures of the ship LADY BLUE and give them back to the government to prove that his grandfather[KABIR BEDI]was innocent and he was not responsible for the sinking of LADY BLUE with treasures.
There is also a useless story in this film for which at first Sanjay did not agree to go for the treasure hunt under the sea as before many years ago he went under the sea with his father [who is also a marine diver] for the treasure hunt and for saving Sanjay from a accident his father got trapped under the sea and died there by saving Sanjay for which he found himself responsible for his father`s death.
There is also some unneccessary stunts scenes which was not required at all especially the Zayed bike racing scenes with Rahul Dev and also the police chasing and the goons chasing scene at the railway lines or over the running train.
Most of all the boxing scenes between Sanjay & Akshay was really too boring as it weregiving the preview that you are going to watch a non substance film with a lot of style in it and nothing expect more than that.
None of the characters has been portrayed fully and you do not know fully about them in the 1 hr 55 mins [ which is the running time of this film].Katrina Kaif is wasted in her role but she looks sexy and she has nothing to do except some scenes with Zayed and at the climax with Akshay[when she reveals Zayed that she is Akshay`s wife].
Rahul Dev has nothing to do except some murdering and killing dialogues to Zayed and ordering him to get back his 50 million dollars otherwise he will kill him and at the climax ordering his goons to follow [SANJAY, AKSHAY, ZAYED]under the sea to the LADY BLUE to get all treasures. But unneccesarily he get killed by Akshay who uses him to kidnap LARA DUTTA[Sanjay`s wife] to force him to help him to get close to the treasures and get it back.
What a foolish story? And from now BLUE is the worst film I have seen in the year 2009 .So guys if you want to watch only underwater expeditions not more than that then watch it at your own risk by spending your valuable money otherwise do not watch it. Give it a miss, it will be better.
And I do not understand that why Sanjay looks very tired in this film and watching him in this film it seems that he was not interested in this project and he looks very fat in the whole film and Lara Dutta has no important scene at all except the song and bikini scene and she has nothing to do in this film and it seems more funny when she advice Sanjay not to shoot at the Rahul Dev villians but come to a decision by cosulting with them.
It also seems that Kyrlie has been forced to do that item song CHIGGY WIGGY as it has no logic at all before that song after having conversation with Akshay.
