Blogging is great!!!. Review on Blogger

A big HI to everyone around. Back in MS after almost a year and lots have changed. I hope those who used to read my reviews and give them "very useful" tags still exists. Missed u all a lot.

To read a review about Blogger.com, you first need to know what a blog is. If you know that, u may skip this paragraph. A Blog is an online journal where you can put down your thoughts chronologically. At least it was this sometime back. Nowadays, blogs are used to do everything, right from marketing to political propaganda.

Coming back to blogger.com, my first stint with blogging was at rediff blogs. I liked the things that rediff had to offer and continued with them for sometime. But things at rediff was email account dependent. You loose your email account, you loose your right to blog. So I switched to Blogger.com.

Blogger.com is partly an innovation by Google. It features all the good things that any blogger may want along with more goodies. I'll be bifurcating this review into two parts.....Core blogging and additional services.

CORE BLOGGING

Blogger.com is like any other online blogspace provider. The user interface is such that any person who has even the minimal experience of internet can start blogging right away. The homepage lists all the essential features of the website includeing latest blogs, introduction, news, advertising services etc.

Once you log into your account, unlike most blogspace providers, you are taken to a page called your "DashBoard". It contains all the essential features that you may need to manage your account. You can have your own profile, upload your picture, create new blogs and much more.

The blogging part is quite easy too. You just have to hit the create new post button, type out things and publish. You can also edit already published posts or simply delete posts that you don't need.

One drawback is that you have to republsh the entire blog or atleast the index page after every change that you make.

You may also turn on or off, the comments section where readers of your blog may post comments regarding your post.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES

Blogger.com also contains a host of other features that simply makes blogging here, a pleasure.

One of the best features are that you don't have to get into the website to post ur posts. You can simply email them.

The templates available re superior to other providers. You may also upoad your own template or change the setting of the current one. Advanced users who know HTML can simply make a personal website out of the blogspace.

Another feature is Google's AdSense program. You simply have to insert some code into the template. After this google's ads, based on the content will be included in your blog and if somebody clicks those links, you get paid. Don't believe me? Try it out.

Other features include things like advanced blog search, flagging of members etc.

All in all, Blogger.com is the heaven for any blogger anywhere.
