Wow! Zapped by the quality of service. Review on Bigperx

My tryst with Bigperx

After having seen the rise and fall of many e-commerce websites and loss they caused us for delayed shipment, non-delivery, wrong deliveries and my misadventure of buying on few online shopping, I had become quite averse to buying online.

I did keep my keen eye on various online shopping websites and as my preferred site for online shopping, I had given up to flipkart for their timely delivery but recently their customer service has been lethargic which even is seen by other reviewer on MS.

In fact, I had stopped buying online due to costly and painful post purchase experiences on various online shopping website like Indiatimes, rediffshopping and Naaptol. Trust me: credibility of online shopping website was almost negative and shopping from the nearest store seemed to be a better option.

Recently I came across bigperx.com from my admin and human resources team through some internal employee engagement program and but I could not find any major reviews on them. I requested them to start it on MS calling their customer service a week before and to my surprise, just 5 days back they informed me that they have started it. This initiative just gave them 1 star extra in my rating.

I kept my eye on couple of my likings since my registration with them but I didn’t have a chance to order anything from them, till all hell broke loose, when my current 4 year old Philips LCD TV was troubling me and it gave up on me last Friday evening at 11 PM and without a LCD screen my mom and my wife who are big fan of Ekta Kapoor serial killers gave me an ultimatum. I had nightmares in my sleep ;-)

I had my eyes on good LCD options and prices on Big perx for few days, I tried to go for it and thought if anything goes wrong, I can always blame my HR for recommending them. At least I can blame my HR head for it, and I ordered a Panasonic LCD 32C5D (32 inch LCD screen) which in retail for around Rs 25000. The site gave at Rs. 22222/ with 3 EMI free of cost on it but I chose to pay using split payment option ( This was unique- not heard or experience before but extremely convenient).

I paid partly thru my credit card and net-banking on Friday night choosing the fast shipment option for Rs. 300 extra and got the LCD on Monday morning at 11AM. I was amazed by its efficiency and promptness and guess what they had even called up Panasonic installation service to immediately install on Saturday itself.

Literally the Panasonic service guys were at my doorstep by Monday 12PM and LCD was installed at 12:30 PM. My wife and mom were zapped by this experience and my life was saved ;-)

Now the bad part:

1. Getting serious, since I am web development, the look and feel of the site is a bit old. They can inject something up on the site and make it more attractive. But as long as they keep their logistics efficient and service superb, this is just a minor defect.

   
   




2. Also I noticed that many LCD and other products were marked ’Out of stock.’ This would make others buy from somewhere else.

   
   

All in all, they are focused on mid to high end products, they have a good collection of products and they are quick.

What more do you need? I whole-heartedly recommend this site to my peers and colleagues and look forward to buying more products from this site.

I guess I am amongst the first few reviewers of this website on MS and would like to experience it few more times in order to give it 5/5 review.
