Me and my spouse, both are working in IT companies in Bangalore. For us, most of the time in Weekend used to go for grocery shopping. There were few online options available like towness, bigbasket etc. But we were reluctant because we were not sure about the quality of the products. We took a chance once and ordered from Bigbasket.com. From then, we are become regular customer of bigbasket.com. We rarely face any quality issue from them. All fruits and vegetables lasts for 3 to 4 days at least and that is ok with us as we cook at home only. We order from them on a weekly basis. We place order for groceries we required for 1 week and what we get is up to the mark. We used to shop from Madiwala market or from other grocery stores. I couldn't find any difference in prices. For few items, prices are less and for few items prices are more. But then, it saves my time of going to market and all the hassle in selecting the products and stand in the queue for billing, petrol to reach the grocery market and all that.


Pros about Big Basket:




  1. Except for few cases(Rarely), I never faced any quality issue with Big Basket.




  2. Always deliver on time.




  3. Usually desired slots are available. I prefer getting my groceries on Saturday early morning. If I place order by Thursday, I get it by Saturday Morning.




  4. Competitive prices. For some products, prices are less and for some products prices are more. Final bill comes to the same amount.




  5. Door delivery of products.




  6. Accountable and Responsible customer care.






Cons about Bis Basket:




  1. Sometimes, after placing the order, they missed to bring couple of items. Upon bringing to their notice, they immediately deduct the amount and give 50% of the amount transferred to my Bigbasket wallet as a refund on the top of not charging for the undelievered.




  2. In between, I was getting vegetables and fruits which did not last for even a day. After I called them and complaint about this, they escalated to Quality department. And after couple of more bad deliveries, but after that everything was sorted out and quality improved. So, that was also good for me. Only thing is you need to raise complaint politely to their customer care and they will listen to you.






Overall, I am happy customer of Big Basket from past 2 years. Till now, no issues:)
