Homely Place to stay at Bandipur. Review on Bandipur National Park

Bandipur is a good place for People in Bangalore to visit on Weekends.

Jungle home is a good place to stay if there is no accommodation available at the forest department. Because forest department charges only 400rs per room.

At Jungle home the charges are 800rs per room. Or 1200 for a 2 bed room cottage.( Food not inclusive)

The other resorts in bandipur charge 1600 to 2000 per head per day which includes food.

Jungle home has only one cottage.

At jungle home children will enjoy a lot because there are lot of farm animals like Turkey, Rabbits, Goose, Ducks, Puppy, variety of other small birds.

When I was there with my Family the Geese had hatched the eggs and the little gooslings was the spot of attraction. It was so cute .I still cannot forget them. Kids too had a nice time looking at the tiny gooselings.

There is also a small play area for kids.

We saw 2 leopards sitting on a tree during Mudumalai Bus safari. We must be really lucky to have such good sightings. Because the van driver said since 3 days they did not see much animals.

We went trekking along with Jungle home Guide. He is a friendly person who guides you on your trekking trip. He is born and brought up in the Mudumalai forests region hence he knows every path in this area.

On the second day of our trip we went to Pykara Lake. This lake was the best lake I have ever seen in my life. It had a breath taking view. The place was too cold .

By evening we were back at Jungle Home. The owners give personal attention to us which makes us feel homely.

The first day we stayed at Jungle home was my Daughters Birth day. I had informed Jungle home owners in advance They had made a Beautiful flower Bunch using all wild flowers. And surprised her with a lot of chocolates. They also arranged for a cake cutting in the evening. We had a nice time at Jungle home.

I am sure to visit this place at least once a year.

There is a hotel near Jungle home which is a horrible place where bus drivers stop to urinate and coffee. It is crowded with cheap crowd. Make sure u never stay at this place.

We had to stay at this stupid Hotel because We wanted to extend our stay by one more day and at Jungle home there was no availability.
