Ok, so here it is. My black P180 has done 3500 kms and here's the story. Things have changed since run-in. The exhaust has become more deep. Power/torque has increased a bit. Mileage has settled to 42(I am a moderate rider occasionally going above 100kph). Front brakes have lost bite. Otherwise nothing has changed. New Pulsar owners should pay attention to the following few lines. The Pulsar180 is a very different bike and it has to be ridden differently.Here are a few important rules u should follow for first 2000kms.
1>NEVER KNOCK THE ENGINE.
2>NEVER let engine rpm go above 4000.(Pay attention to the tachometer although the dealer might say u shouldnt.)
3>NEVER go above 60kph. AVOID hard braking.
4>Let the engine idle for a minute after first start of the day.
5>Take double seat as minimum as possible.
6>Fill petrol only where good quality petrol is available.(SPEED, POWER)
Follow these rules strictly for first 2000kms if you want your bike to give true 15 bhp and 45kpl. Otherwise even a Pulsar 150 will speed past you after 2000kms.
