With an eye on the growing super sports bike segment, Bajaj Auto today launched the Pulsar RS 200 at a starting price of Rs 1.18 lakh.
The new bike comes with a 4-valve triple spark DTSi engine with fuel injection and liquid cooling, 300 mm disc brakes with ABS, Perimeter frame for high stiffness-low flex and a gas-filled Nitrox Mono suspension.
According to a company statement, the Pulsar RS 200 unleashes 24.5 PS power and has the capacity to achieve a top speed of 141 km/hr.
“The sports segment in India is poised for rapid growth driven by evolving customer preferences. The new Pulsar RS 200 now enters the super sports segment with aerodynamically tested fairings, superior chassis and engine technology to deliver adrenaline pumping performance, ” Eric Vas, President, Motorcycle Business, Bajaj Auto, said in a statement.
The company is already the market leader by far in the sports segment and with the new launch, it has a target of gaining leadership in the super sports segment too, he added.
The Pulsar RS 200 price range starts at Rs 1, 18, 500 and comes at Rs 1, 30, 268 for the ABS version(ex-showroom Maharashtra). The bike is now available at select Bajaj dealerships.
