Bajaj has not had a great reputation in making variator gearbox scooters. Saffire, Spirit, Wave. All did little or no business! But Bajaj kept trying constantly to earn a name in the scooter market. They finally unveiled the Bajaj Kristal DTS-i. I was attracted at first sight and placed an order even before its launch. The bike has lived up to my expectations. Specifications... The Kristal DTS-i is a 95 cc Vespa type scooter which boasts of many new and unique features.

It is pretty powerful for a scooter. Though the engine is not like the Honda's , the other features make the bike a real star. Some unique features found in the bike are Front Fuel Loading, Extra-large under-seat space, Auto turn-on headlamps, a light inside the seat and finally, 2 lts of petrol reserve!!! Front Fuel Loading- This feature is a boon to many riders.

One doesnt have to get off their bike at petrol stations. Just a turn of the key and the tank cap pops up open. Probably the best of the unique features this bike boasts about.

Extra-Large storage space - The storage space in this scooter is large! Since Bajaj shifted the fuel tank to the front, they have been able to provide a huge space for storage (22 lts space!). One can keep a full-face helmet inside the storage. Its that big! Auto Turn-On Headlamps - This feature makes this bike almost equivalent to a Bond 007 car! When the light intensity goes down, the headlamps turn on automatically! For instance, if u went under a subway and the lights went dark, the kristal turns on its headlamps automatically! Now thats a cool invention! 2 lts reserve - This feature may be good/bad to people.

It has 2 lts of reserve, which reduces the tank capacity to only 2.5 lts with reserve (4.5 lts total tank capacity). One can use the bike 3-4 days with the Fuel icon beeping! The mileage is not bad in scooter terms. It delivers an average of 41 kmpl (though Bajaj claims 48!). The other features are Bajaj's own DTS-i (Digital Twin Spark Ignition) and SNS (spring inside Spring) suspension. These 2 features do not make much of a difference to ride quality and suspension, so dont get carried away by the inclusion of these 2 features! The other things that attracted me in this bike was the design and the height.

The design is sharp styling and the height is pretty short. So if you are short in height, this bike is your paradise! If bajaj could care to improve their service, this bike is sure to be a star, even better than the 150 cc segment! Thats all on my all New Bajaj Kristal Dts-i. Thanks For Reading My Review!
