I got married on 20th august and left for honeymoon to goa on 27th. The trip was all fun b coz of two beauties............... my wife and Avenger (180 Dtsi)......... We rented the bike for two days and together with map of Goa we decided to explore it on our own (Goa). I was riding Unicorn for last three years in Delhi so the comparison was inevitable. I have come to following conclusions.
Pros:
1 the seating is very comfortable both for rider and pillion (due to back rest....It not mere a show piece, it really works)
2 although the bike was 2 yrs old, the engine was absolutely smooth( remember the bike was sort of rented taxi and must have gone through extensive abuse in various hands)
3 the gaearbox was smooth with no false neutrals
4 power in all the gears was linear and there was no lack of pulling power on inclines and hilly areas.
5 the handling was great due to wide zapper at the rear and widehandlebar..........
COns
1 the locking and ignition system spoil the show and are aboslutely avoidable..............
2 braking could have been better
3 there was a lot of vibration in rear foot pegs on high speeds .My wife complianed about it all the way.......
4 its not easy to manover the bike in city traffics and sharp u turns are absolute no no...
All in all I enjoyed riding this cruiser in Goa.will rent the same again if got the chance......................
