Staff Attitude:

I owned my first car at October 2007 in TVS Sundaram Motors, Chennai. At the time of purchase, the showroom people recommended TATA-AIG insurance and so insured with them on 18/19th Oct 2007. And I had to register a cliam with them as my vehicle met with an accident.

And I received only 40% of the damage. Disappointed with this, I was searching for some other insurer and to my surprise I receive 'n' number of calls from various insurers. Of those, 70% of the calls were from Bajaj Allianz wherein I got a min of3-4 calls from different persons of Bajaj Allianz per day. I do not know, who gives the record of my car details to them? "These details, Bajaj Allianz have in their records"

Those persons sharply say when is my insuance expire. And I said to one of those executive that, whomsoever has given the least quote will get benefited from me and I shall give the cheque to them. I finalised with one of the Bajaj Allianz executives who gave me the least possible quote for my car and got my insuance renewal from 19th Oct 2008 till 18th Oct 2009.

The idiotic behavior of Bajaj Allianz came into light only after my car met with an accident again on 16th October 2009. My car's rear glass has been damaged due to some crackers or something (as it was on Diwali eve). Last winter itself I was getting SMS from Bajaj Allianz who advices me to keep my car and not to take in flood roads and so they are not liable for cliam. Seeing that attitude, I immediately registered my claim through telephone on the same day and they said the cliam was registered and there will be no problem when the surveyor inspects my vehicle 2 days after that ie 19th Oct (as 17&18 are holidays) Bajaj Allianz executive asked me in which workshop am I going to give my vehicle and I told it.

I was waiting for the surveyor to call me. Unlike those calls received for renwals, there was not even a single call from the surveyor who has finished inspecting the vehicle. And again, I had to trace out his phone no. by calling to various Bajaj Allianz offices and finally I called the surveyor on 20th October 2009.

The surveyour of Bajaj Allianz is so cool to say over phone that they could not give any cliam to me. When asked why, he said the policy has been expired. But I justified saying I registered the cliam immediately on 16th Oct '09 that comes within the policy period only. He refused and I again justified saying I have records for it. Then, he called me just a mins after and this time, the reason given by them was that there was a mistake at the time of renewals of insurance that there was something called NCB which gives a discount of 20% to all customers WHO ARE ELIGIBLE JUST BY SAYING IF THEY HAVE NOT CLAIMED THEIR VEHICLE BEFORE. And at this moment only I came to know that NCB was nothing butNo Claim Bonus. This bonus was just mentioned shortly in a single line as NCB earned rate -20% in those bunch of insurance notice containing some 4-5 pages.

I SAY PEOPLE, JUST THEY ARE FINDING ANY LAME REASONS IN ORDER TO AVOID GIVING THE INSURANCE CLAIMS.

When I called Bajaj Allianz office, one of them asked to come to the office. At first I met someone and discussed with him all these problems, then he called someone else who is in the marketing division and I again told the entire story.

*I just asked a single question, if Bajaj Allianz would believe all the details furnished by the customer y word of mouth and he said YES! And then I asked If Bajaj Allianz would not track if the details furnished by the cutomer is true/false and for that he said, it takes a max of 3 months time to track it from the previous insurer. And then he said, the customer may receive the notice or fine if the details furnished are false. To me, all these things look nonsense. HOW WOULD THE COMPANY TAKE THE WORDS FROM THE CUSTOMER JUST BY WORD OF MOUTH AND WON'T THE COMPANY CROSS CHECK EVERYTHING BEFORE GIVING POLICY??? However, I said to that man that even after 1 year I did not receive any notification from Bajaj Allianz or anyone else that there was a mistake in the insurance. When asked who is responsible, he went and called his senior.

After a while, some one else (supposedly his senior in sending off the customer) came to me for the problem. And this guy is was so contradict in his colleagues statements. He says "Bajaj Allianz never cross checks the details furnished by the customer and the company do not have the necessity even. Bajaj Allianz people verify everything and takes any actions ONLY IF A CLAIM IS REGISTERED. If not, Bajaj Allianz accepts whatever the customer tells in a word of mouth!"

In full of burning sensation I askedIf Bajaj Allianz simply accepts the cash when a customer is giving without asking any questions and thinks for more than 10 or even 100 times for paying the claim? Shameless, he said "YES!!!"

Then I had the last choice of asking everything all these matters in a letter. At first, he said he dont mind in signing anywhere and after me writing a letter he objected it saying, it is not the responsibility of his individual to sign a letter. Thus, he didn't even have the guts to write the letter and said a letter will be sent to me in 2 days time. But still I havent got the letter yet.

P.S: Bajaj Allianz will just try its maximum how to reject a claim. And they are so non-genuine in finding any reasons not to give the claim.

I will never ever in life will recommend Bajaj Allianz to anyone.
