I had an idea when in KEDARNATH to extend the trip by a few days more so, decided to extend our trip and left towards BADRINATH.
In the evening we reached at JOSHIMATH where we were about to that night because it's main point of stopping for visitors.
JOSHIMATH is popular hill station and famous center for pilgrimages. The rivers Alaknanda and Dhauliganga meet at the confluence of Vishno prayag just situated below the town. Badrinath temple is around 40km far from there and Auli is 14km. after staying one night there we continued our journey, around 11am we reached Badrinath temple after passing zig zag road. We passed through Govindghat(it is situated on the bank of the Alaknanda River. It is the commencement point of the trek to Hemkund Sahib and Valley of flowers)
Badrinath is the most important of the all char chota dhams. The main attraction is Badrinath temple also known as Badrinarayan temple and dedicated to lord Vishnu. There is other attraction of Temple include the Tapt kund a natural thermal spring on the bank of the Alaknanda river.
HOW TO REACH
Badrinath temple is linked from all over Uttarakhand by motor road. But most of the devotees consider that Haridwar is the entry route to Badrinath and hence start their holy journey from there.
