Has anyone seen the film Heartbreakers (2001) with Sigourney Weaver, Gene Hackman, Ann Bancroft, Jason Lee. Well surprise surprise, Bache rehna is a direct lift off. Infact kudos to director Menon who has managed a film without as much as using a gray cell from his brains, oh dear that would probably hurt. He probably got the stars to watch Heartbreakers a hundred times, despite which their acting is disastrous.
Well even if the plot was plaigarised, the direction could have used some imagination, every scene including dialogues are a straight lift off.
The less said about Rekha the better, if she does want to make a comeback, one would expect better from an actress of her calibre unless she is as desperate to bag a role as Sherawat. Her antics, are tasteless and crass delivery of dialogues pushes her even lower than melodramatic filmi mothers, Lalita Pawar was better!!
If only someone would contact Paul Guay or David Mirkin and let them know!!
