I am using my BSNL mobile for more than 8 years. I feel that BSNL is the only service provider, whose network you find everywhere in the country as it may be a rural or urban area. It gives me very good coverage. It is a very trust worthy operator, I can definitely say about this. In this long 8 years relationship with BSNL, I never felt cheated as per illegal balance deduction concern, which is happened frequently in case of any other private operator.
But this BSNL operator has many faults as well. For long 8 years, I saw that BSNL customer care executive are very less interested about your problem. Customer care operators and service operators are not good at all. Networks are down very seldom and if it happens it continue for 2-4 days as no one bothers about the issue. This is the worst part of BSNL.
As per pricing concern I can tell you BSNL is not the costliest one nor the cheapest one. Many privates operator now in the market whose plans, rate cutters, data packs are less costly than BSNL.
But still I am using BSNL because some plans are there in BSNL which are not available with any other operator in India, I can definitely say that. One of the main reason of my BSNL use nowadays is it gives me 'All India unlimited incoming free on roaming' without any charge. I have to travel a lot throughout many parts of India and it helps me a lot. Not a single operator is provide this plan for unlimited or for free.
I will recommend BSNL to those who travel a lot in India because that plan really helps them.
