The first thing that struck me about the place was that it was Spotless Clean. One cant really say that about a food place, especially one that attracts diners in throngs.
The place, the serving people were all well kept.
The manager at the counter seems arrogant, but that seems to be his style, cause when I gave specific instructions, he was very accommodating without much ado about it.
The Food:Not too Classy. Regular Maharashtrian + South Indian fare. Taste wise it is not bad at all. Quite home-like. Add the fact that it is unlimited, it becomes a good deal. Quite the place for Students, Working people as well as the Family crowd.
Special mention needs to go to the RASAM they serve. It is Amazing.
Since I dont want to eat there, I usually get it parceled.
Rates: It is fairly cheap at 37 Rs a Thali.
If you do not have your own dabba and want a parcel in carry bags, they charge you some Rs 5 for those.
Sweets are charged separately.
But a parcel lunch is sufficient for 2-3 people, if you take extra rotis.
Ambience Not something to write home about, but a fairly decent, clean place. But do note, that it is usually very crowded. But that is expected considering food quality.
ServiceAint ever experienced eating there, always got it parceled.
Anyone looking for cheap yet good food and a decent place to sit in, Asha Dining Hall Restaurant is a good choice.
