I recently went to see my cousin's wife, who was blessed with a baby girl, in Apollo hospital Noida. My cousin was just telling me about how the baby and mother were happy and healthy that the Doctor who delivered the baby came over to check on the baby. I was surprised to see that not only did the doctor do a thorough check, she also made sure that the two grandmothers were properly instructed on how to take care of the baby. The mother was given an update on what to expect in the coming days and how to deal with it.
What surprised me the most was that before leaving, the Doctor took out small box wrapped in a pink ribbon- a tiny gift for the baby girl. I was very touched to see that not only did the Doctor do her duties well, she even formed a personal bond with the baby she treated. It was good to know that the hospital was more than just a place to get treated at..they actually care to make the experience for a first time mom special. Makes one feel sure that the new born is in good hands. :)
