How do I start, I went to ENT doctor Mahesh Meda some time back, I had sinus infection and a very slight deviated septum. The doc suggested to have a surgery for both the sinus and the deviated septum, We asked why we need the deviated septum when its not affecting anything. He suggested thats just a correction which will have to be performed.
Anyway my mistake I went for both and had surgery done. post that in a couple of months I had lots of bleeding from nose.
I was wondering why and went to doc again. he did an endoscopy and then said its just normal and suggested some medicines. but again the bleeding dint stop and I went for a second opinion and that's when I had another scan and was told I have a big septal perforation and the bleeding is from there.
Between I never heard of this term before and then understood from the other doc that a big hole is there in my septum, which can in future even cause a septal colapse and I learnt its only because of the septum deviation surgery done wrongly.
first, I was never told that I have this septal perforation until I went to a second doctor, second, I never wanted to have a septum deviation surgery, which has actually caused this. Very bad experience I had with this doctor.
