So the Ananda Honda Service center sold us a "roadside assistance" plan from Honda, that was supposed to help us if the vehicle got stuck at any point even on the road. Given the rains in Bangalore it seemed like a good idea at that point.
The drama started on Sunday, when we noticed a pretty bad flat and managed to get the aviator home. We called the 24/7 assistance at 9 am on sunday and got promised immediate service. The service guy turned up after two hours and promptly said that he does not have the tools. He left with promises to come back after this shift was over. This was around 12. from then till 9 pm the guy's phone is switched off. We keep calling the service line and they promise to send another technician. This guy calls after 15 mins and says he will come around tomorrow morning once the store is open as all the shops have shut down. This is at around 10 at night.
Imagine our shock this morning to receive an SMS this morning saying that the ticket is closed and asking for feedback! at this point its been 24 hours since the first request was raised.
We keep calling the service center from work and figure out that the whole thing is outsourced and honda does not take any responsibility. The guy comes around at 6.30 and charges 2X of what the neighborhood puncher shop would do. And guess what, it's not even genuine spares as the ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE frauds have gone to the same next door shop. And here comes the bombshell, puncher is not covered under the assistance program. We ended up paying for a service visit also. This is now been 36 hours, imagine waiting at the roadside for this pathetic service.
DO NOT BE CHEATED LIKE US. NEVER BUY ANY ASSISTANCE PACKS FROM HONDA. EVER.
