Amul is a big brand name created and nourished by a Cooperative Society. This is the biggest cooperative society in the world. It is difficult to believe such huge success story of a cooperative society
but it is a fact. Dr. V Kurien is the man behind this very successful movement. Dynamic leadership of this man created an icon, Amul.
Thousands of milkmen of Gujarat are member of this society. Everyday they collect thousands of liters of milk from their members and process it for the market. The benchmark that they have created is difficult to achieve. They produce more than 25, 000 tons of butter, quite difficult milestone to reach.
