This is supposed to be the 1st private Marathi Channel after Doordarshan introduced their Marathi Channel. Doordarshan being a government prodigy Alpha T.V Marathi has created history in India.
It was a bold move from Zee T.V to launch this channel as if the channel had failed the move would have backfired on them.
Firstly they started to show all the Hindi serials on Zee T.v dubbed but after sometime they realised that they are going nowhere so they started to telecast original Marathi Serials. They introduced the idea of Daily Soap in Marathi and that show created history (unfortunately the show had to be closed down).
They have started various new shows and the most important part is that they show only Marathi programme's where on any other Marathi channel one can frequently see Hindi Film Songs or Consumer Product Shows.
I would personally like to thank Zee T.V through this medium for starting such a nice channel.
