FREAK SHOW. Review on Aks

Whatta crazy movie. The reason I saw this film was the tremendous amount of negative response it got from junta. To see whats soooo bad about it. They were all right. This film stinks!!! The director Rakesh Mehra has potential & future though. The direction is technically polished & the editing super class. So he'll continue to make movies as good movies r a exception in Bollywood so thats not a problem. It seems hes gonna make more movies with Big B now. God help both of them.

Then hes totally wasted the talent of Manoj Bajpai. Whatta weird psycho he is made out to be. Totally eccentric. Psychopaths should be should very subdued dudes. Manoj keeps laughing & making funny faces all the time. Whatta criminal waste of talent.

Big B is doing what he has been doing all his life- roles which r in a totally diff orbit from reality. He acts like the world revolves around him in all his films. Sad...people think hes the god of acting.

Nandita Das is okay. She does well for whatever she is given to do.

FEW things about the film.

1) Every guy in the film looks Gay. Manoj Bajpai is a bisexual psychopath who rubs his face with the face of his mental brother & every guy he kills sadistically.

2) He rapes Amitabhs wife after he enters his aatma(soul), while sleeping with his own girlfriend Raveena at the same time. It becomes a total orgy of sorts, everyone sleeping with everyone else. 3) Manoj kills BigB's Inspector friend also but his wife is fat & pregnant or else i'm sure he would have nailed her too.

4) He kills a underworld don when he is is a Sauna (gay tendencies again). Here again the mask mentality of the directors is used as if just by putting on a mask the whole body also changes exactly like the persons mask u r wearing (FACE OFF was a prime example ..but they did some madical juntar muntar in that film ...so Thay mite just justify that stuff to me). Also note the Tatoo on the dons body. Are we supposed to be impressed?

5) The 1 line repeated to death dialogue of Manoj ''Koi Marto Nahi , Koi Marta Nahi ...ye Main Nahi Kahta Tumhare Geeta Mein Likha Hain'' took me to all those Shakti Kapoor characters from 80's sh1tty dhishum dhishum fillums. It was atrocious.

The only saving grace of AKS is Raveena Tandon. She is sexed out in this film. Probably first time in Bollywood a top heroine has potrayed such a sex crazy character. She is crazy about 2 things in the film Manoj & sex with Manoj. The foreplay scenes between Raveena and Manoj are bold indeed. But her interrogation by Big B beats the worst interrogation seen in hindi films. Words fail me.

That pole-dance stuff is ripped off from the strip-tease scenes hollywood… wow, hindi movies are coming of age.. but still a long way to go. Is TOPAZ really so cool? I have to find out when I come to bombay next month. SOMEONE FROM BOMBAY PLZZ ENLIGHTEN US LESSER MORTALS LIVING OUTSIDE BOMBAY. This is where one misses RAJ KAPOOR the ''tharkiest'' director ever. If he was alive i'm sure he would have made total nudity a norm in hindi films & got away with it. Even Vajpayee would have found that creativly necessary forget Asha Parekh. BAD JOKE? I know ...hehe

Before I end I must recommend u guys the review of AKS by Koshish . It totally rocks...

And yeah I have nothing against gays & lesbians. I respect their sexuality totally. My remarks should be taken in as light hearted, smart arse comments. :)
