Originality:

Eastern films’ ‘Akhiyon Se Goli Maare’ is directed by Harmesh Malhotra, has music by Anand Milind and lyrics by Sameer and Dev Kohli.

The album has 8 tracks, all of which are similar in content and style. Side A begins with ‘Gore Tan Se Saraktha Jaaye’ by Sonu Nigam, Alka Yagnik and Sanjeevani. A typical Govinda-Raveena item number with nothing special to offer other than the usual jhatkas and matkaas. Lyrics by Sameer are also slow and outdated, yet will hold on to frontbenchers. But the music makes up for this lapse and will prove to become popular with night lovers in particular.

Second track ‘Rabba O Rabba’ by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik has lyrics by Dev Kohli. Her’s another usual love song that’s headed straight to the huge music library of Bollywodd Film music. The saving grace for this number however is its https://lyrics. Third track ‘Ladka Mud Mud Ke Maare’ by Vinod Rathod and Alka Yagnik is a promising number that provides some solace to the already hasseled listener who’s endured two successive disasters. It’s an archtypalVinod Rathod number with all the ingredients to a hit masala mix. Again nothing new to offer except some bearable https://lyrics.

Fourth track ‘Thumka Lagake Naacho’ by Sonu Nigam, Vinod Rathod and Sanjeevani has music by Dilip Sen – Sameer Sen and lyrics by Nitin Raikar. It’s a trademark tapori number that opens with a long used shaayari of Hindi cinema. But this time round, Nitin Raikar fails to ring a cord and performs miserably bad. But in spite of this, if the song is still worth a sunoh, it’s simply because of the professional and exacting rendition by Vinod Rathod.

Side B begins with ‘Maine Tujhe Dekha’ by Sonu Nigam And Alka Yagnik. The song begins with unique intro piece that one doesn’t get to hear off often in Bollywood. It sounds like a mixture of Indian, Mughal and Afghani styles of music in the pop genre. It’s a 21st century disco item that’s rendered to perfection by Alka Yagnik. The lyrics are however beaten and oft repeated words.

Second Track ‘O Chori Gori Gori’ by Sonu Nigam and Jaspinder Narula is a high tempo dafli number with a catchy tune. It’s a fol;k number blended with rhythmic notations and a neat composition. The music is creative but lacks luster. A sure shot winner with the frontbenchers. Third track ‘Dehradun Ka Chuna Lagaya’ by Vinod Rathod and Sunidhi chauhan has music by daboo Malik and Lyrics by Salim Bijnori. It’s an out and out village song with all the ingredients to make it a hit number among north Indians and Upites. Adding luster to the already hit number is Vinod Rathod and Sunidhi’s precise rendition. Sunidhi has a soft velvety voice that she intelligently uses to her advantage during song renditions. Her voice is as good as tailormade to suit the bill and does magic when heard in symphony with the music. The lyrics are precise and the music is neat. This song is above doubt the album’s best bet. Last Track ‘Aakh jo Tujhse lad Gayi’ by Sonu Nigam and Jaspinder Narula has music by Anand raaj Anand and Lyrics by Dev Kohli. The vocal introduction is aptly accompoanied with balancing beats and orchestration. Again a hit number that’ll form the album’s trump card as against all the other tracks. Jaspinder is in her usual best but Sonu could have done a better job without that extra accent that sounded totally out of place.

The music is interesting and lyrics are passé. Overall, an okay album, but may make brisk business in Northern Indian states and among frontbenchers. This album is strictly for the masses and music lovers…beware!
