Ajnabi: Whos the Stranger?. Review on Ajnabee

A review I believe is not just an explanation of the plot, because this information is available to everyone, though one should explain in brief but mostly its ur personal experience that makes a review interesting. Since I would like to know what people are thinking.

Ajanabee is a movie directed by Abas-Mastan. It stars Kareena, Bipasha,Akshay and Bobby.

Its the story of a newly wed couple (Kareena/Bobby) who are on a honeymoon in Swiss. Next to them stays another couple (Akshay/Bipasha). They all meet and start holidaying together. Bipasha will try to seduce Bobby whenever she gets an opportunity.

The highlight is when Bobby/Akshay get drunk (akshay pretends to).. In a drunken stupour, Akshay convinces Bobby to exchange their wives for the night. When Bobby wakes up , he finds himself next to Bipasha, and assumes he has slept with her.He goes home and next thing , he knows he accused of murder .(incidentally Bipasha is found murdered, actually assumed because the body is not recognizable).

The actual story is that Akshay is married to a rich woman (Mink) and he has married her for the money. His true love is Bipasha (a dancer at a club). He wants to kill his wife so that he can acquire her wealth and enjoy with his love and he tries to frames Bobby.

This is a very brief outline of the movie..the movie I felt was really good , numbers like Adnans Mehbooba was good and Kaun Main Haan Tum was original since it had voices of lead actors Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol, Kareena Kapoor and debutant Bipasha Basu too lend their vocals (although it is limited to just 4 words....kaun main..haan tum ).

Akshay has done really well as the bad guy . Bipasha for a new comer is impressive and played her role to the hilt.

PSST: But do you know that the movie was a remake of Consenting Adults which starrs Kevin spacey(played by akshay) and Kevin Kline (Bobby). Spacey is a financial advisor -- fortyish, handsome, athletic -- who moves into the gorgeous home next door to upstanding jingle composer Richard Parker (Kevin Kline), also fortyish, handsome and athletic. Not long after Kline lays eyes on Spaceys luscious wife, Kay (Rebecca Miller), Kline’s family values start to crumble.

Scene one: You want to make love to my wife, dont you? Spacey asks Kline No, replies Kline, who has for 14 years been faithful to wife Priscilla (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio.

Overall the movie was good since I saw the English version on Star TV, after I had seen the hindi one..
