I have been facing a pathetic service by Airtel Tamilnadu (coimbatore). I bought a prepaid sim in last feb 2011. I gave all my documents while purchasing and filled up the forms with Photos. Yesterday suddenly they disconnected outgoing calls. When asked I got a mere shock from one of the customer care executive:
He told me to replace the sim in other handset!!!. I said I am receiving a voice message that "this facility is not available". If there is a problem with handset, how a lady could come and speak in my mobile;-)
Still he was firm that the problem could be with handset. I couldn't tolerate and disconnected.
Later, I spoke to another customer care exe, and got to know that the sim is registered in some other name!!! and hence the outgoing calls are barred till I submit the address proof...OMG I asked what happened to the one I submitted earlier? He said, pls resubmit in our retail outlet...
Cursing my destiny, today I drove all the way to their office (they accept this doc only in one place: Lakshmi mills) to submit the docs and photo once again,
I filled the form and submitted. A guy told that I need to note down the form no and call the customer care to release in one hour.
I spoke to customer care once again: Here the other surprise was waiting for me!!!
They said the mobile no is barred...I asked what he meant! He said the mobile number is disconnected from the service and will not be available here after...BULLSHIT
I shouted at them...what the hell is this? Do you think I've no other work? How can you disconnect without giving any notice?
He told me to contact the nodal officer as its beyond his level!!!
The I contacted the NO, where no response for 5 mins...I disconnected.
At last a manager came for rescue as there was a good number of people supporting me as they also got the same problem.. (one them told that his service was disconnected though he is using it for past 8 years)
He promised all of us that the problem will be resolved in couple of hours!!!
I've decided to quit airtel service and look for some other network!!! IDIOTIC AIRTEL....
I used airtel for about 5 years in Karnataka...that time the service was ultimate....Now Its totally the other way around...what happened to airtel?
DONT GO FOR AIRTEL....
