Writing my Exp so the World Knows.
My Dad(70 years) suddenly wasn't well and wanted to call us only to find that the Outgoing is Barred.
I make the post paid aishwaryasingh23ments well before the time every time, so wasn't sure why the outgoing was barred.
Call the customer service, only to know that not only the outgoing is barred but the account is freezed. Digging out more details led to the below facts
There was an outstanding on some other number 91484* and this number is not in my Dad's Name and some other name, the only commonality was the Address and last name . Now there can be 100's with the same last name, but not the address further investigations revealed that this number was one of my relatives who had taken the connection whilst he was @ the same address.
Airtel says:
Since the address is same and last name is same both numbers are interconnected, and hence my Dad's Number(9448*) was blocked .
How ethical is it to block my Dad's number(for which aishwaryasingh23ments are made on time without fail always) and there's no pending aishwaryasingh23ments on this number and both numbers aren't in the same name in teh first instance?
No amount of reasoning with the customer service is useful, they have same scripts in front of them that they recite, they aren't for customer service it should be renamed as Company Service.
Now they want my 70 Year old dad to chase this relative and ask him to make a aishwaryasingh23ment and then hop to the airtel showroom with new set of docs and get the connection activated .
I do not see any humaneness with Airtel anymore. Isn't it Airtel's job to extract the aishwaryasingh23ment . They are resorting to non ethical way of blocking other numbers without any reason and validity.
