Airtel, like many others on this forum and elsewhere, I'm extremely disgusted and frustrated with Airtel PostPaid billing.
From the network coverage perspective, Airtel is excellent but it in tems of simplying the biling porcess, it gets a big ZERO
Airtel offers 3 modes of payment:
1) Online via Citibank Gateway
2) SMS via MPAY
3) Outlets
Whenever, I try to make the payment via the Online system or SMS, the system is down. When I called customer service(121), they refused to take any complaint on the basis that I should have called them as soon as I received the bill instead of waiting for the last minute. Finally, they asked me to visit the outlet and pay the bill in person.
Airtel were very arrogant and they were not even ready to acknowledge the fact that the Customer was unable to make the payment due to Airtel system issues.
I really don't want to switch because in doing so, I will lose my number. I'm waiting for the day when cell number portability is launched and I will be the first one to dump Airtel.
