I started using airtel because my last mobile operator Vodafone wasn't giving good range in my area. I just discovered yesterday the way airtel scams its users and that would be the major source of their earning.
On 24 May I recharged my mobile with 150 MB internet. Yesterday evening I observed a sudden deduction of around 50 rupees in my mobile balance. I contacted airtel customer service and their customer support executive said we had a technical issue and we will refund your balance as soon as possible. Today morning I contacted them again asking why my balance is not refunded yet. They said I used my mobile data(internet) cause of which my balance was deducted and they will not make any refund. This is how their scamming process works. I haven't completely used my mobile data pack. Around 20 Mb still remains and they says balance was deducted because of use of internet.
Worst mobile operator and probably scamming is the way they earn. Beaware of it . Airtel is now good for nothing. It was already charging very high call rates etc. and now they have started scamming too.
