Let me write my experience with Airtel Broadband


1st letter to Airtel

Then a person actually contacted me within the mentioned time. (I was very surprised and happy with their speed.) Next day he came to my apartment, checked that there is an airtel distribution box in the complex. I gave him the 1st month Bill Amt(1299/- + 49/- as that was supposed to save me the installation charges) filled up the application(No. 271197) and gave all supporting documents. He promised me that he will connect it next day(Sunday), and if he fails he will surely do it on Monday.


Then my agony started.


He did not contact me on Monday, I called the agent(+91 9845259254). He sent me an sms that he will call me back. But he never called me back. On Wednesday I called him again. He picked up the call and  told me that the work order just got cleared and he would do it on that day. Again no communication.


On Friday I finally thought enough is enough and lodged a complaint with airtel(No: 6730808). The customtakeouter care lady was very apologetic for my inconvenience and promised that some engg. will visit me within 8 hours.


Again no progress. I wrote a mail to 121@airtel.in writing my entire situation.

  • I was contacted by an Airtel personnel on 28th Oct(Friday) On 29th Oct(Saturday) he came, checked the availability of Airtel Broadband in the apartment and made me fill up the form(Form No: 271197). I was asked to provide




• address proof


• photo id proof


• 2 passport photographs


which I provided. I opted for 1299/-(2MBPS MAX GB) scheme. I was told that if I pay the 1st month bill in advance there would be no installation charges. So I paid him 1350/-.


After that there has been no contact whatsoever form the person. I presumed that he would call me and set up the connection as he had promised that it would be done by Monday(31st Oct). But nothing happened.


I called him on Wednesday(2nd Nov). He me that the work order was pending and it would be done on that day(Wednesday), but I got no further communication from him.


Next day(3rd Nov, Thursday) I called him, he told me that he was in a meeting and he would call me back. But he never called back.


Next day(4th Nov, Friday) I called him again, he would not pick up my call, or simply reject it. Finally I lodged a complaint (No. 6730808).


After that nobody has contacted me. I tried calling the representative again today(5th Nov, Saturday) but he never picked up.


Can you look into the matter and let me know. I never thought that Airtel could provide such customtakeouter unfriendly service. My initial experience with Airtel have been really bad and disappointing.

I was very surprised to see that there was not even an acknowledgement mail saying that they would look into the matter. There was no response at all.


The next week also no response from any one.


I again called the customtakeouter care on Wednesday and lodged a complain, the customtakeouter care personnel was again very apologetic. Another complaint(No: 6964160). Another promise of service within 6 hours.


Again no response.


These Airtel are a bunch of cheaters who just try to con people. No service, nothing about customtakeouter satisfaction and they are the biggest private telecom company of India, what an irony.


It has been more than 2 weeks and I am still waiting, if I knew that Airtel is like this I would have gone with BSNL. Whatever they are they never cheat their customtakeouters.


Just sharing my experience so that others need not suffer through the same or may have a heads up as what might be in store for them.
