My letter to airtel nodal office will be an eye opener to many customers:


Sub: very very poor service & cancellation of connection


This is to bring to your notice that as a long term customer of airtel broadband internet, i have always had the following complaints:


1) often landline goes dead


2) internet connection is not stable at all, almost everyday


3) almost every time i have to wait near the modem for ½ an hour to one hour for the internet to connect


4) most of the time data light in the modem will not be on


Added to all the above, the most pathetic part is that, whenever i give a complaint that my internet connection is not working, some technician will rectify the line from the streets and close the complaint call even without my knowledge. But if i check my internet at home, it will continue not to work. Again if i call up airtel customer care, they will tell me that the call is already closed. They will reopen my complaint after i insist to them that my problem is yet to be solved.


Please provide me a reply for the following?


1) Doesn’t airtel have a deadline to close any complaint?


2) why do airtel close complaints just purely based on service technician’s oral confirmation without getting a confirmation from the customer?


3) why internet is always unstable?


4) I was billed an amount of rs.100/- additionally in my bill for some antivirus protection, but no people from airtel told me what that amount was all about. I did not require that at all from airtel, why do airtel cheat people with such additional amounts?


Today i have cancelled my airtel internet & fixed line connections.


Reasons for cancellation of my internet connection:


Added to all the above, i gave a complaint to airtel customer care on 30th june 2012 that my internet is not working and that my fixed line is dead. Until the present moment, it has not yet been rectified. I have made at least 10 phone calls to customer care, but even without confirming with me, they have closed my complaint call.


I can swear that tata photon, reliance and bsnl are all providing better service to their customers. Whereas airtel has taken more than 3 to 4 days to even attend to my complaint and the worst part is that, in spite of making so many phone calls to airtel customer care and in spite of speaking to the manager, no one gave me a proper feedback as to when my internet will start functioning again.
