I have been using Airtel 4G at home for more than a year now. No doubt it's very fast but very expensive too. I have no other option as there are no broadband services in my area, so I have to use Airtel 4G but using it makes a big dent in my pocket every month.

High speed and good connectivity is there but it's very expensive. I am somewhat apprehensive about the usage too. No matter which data pack I opt for, it never lasts for the whole month and I have to get top ups done after that. Even the 20GB data pack didn't last a month.

Once you exhaust the high speed data, you get such slow speed that you can't even open the site to get a top up done. Smartbytes or the top ups are quite expensive too. My monthly internet bill is close to Rs 2000/- which is quite expensive.

3-4 months back, I received a bill of Rs 5000/-. On enquiring they told me that I was using high data even when my pack had expired. They never intimated me about the data expiration and the speed also didn't lower which usually happens when data pack expires. After exchange of many mails with their officials, finally I was given some waive off but still had to shell out quite some money.

So I would not suggest to use airtel 4G for home. If you have other options available then go for them.
