Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur's Airlift, directed by Raja Krishna Menon, is a tale of heroism.I have watched this movie twice because of the unconventional story and casts.I have always liked Akshay Kumar who here have played the role of a Indian messiah Ranjit Katyal who saved 1.70 lac Indian. He was is a wealthy and powerful Indian businessman settled in Kuwait. He is married to Amrita(Nimrat Kaur), and feels prouder to be a Kuwaiti than an Indian. His life takes an interesting turn when Iraq invades Kuwait. He was a rich businessman who literally became a god for the Indian.Instead of running away to India when he had his chance but he didn't go just to save them from the devastation. He got 1.70 lac people back to their motherland. It took 458 planes and consecutive 59 days for that process.
It was all together a very good movie which every Indian should watch, music was composed by Amaal Mallik and Ankit Tiwari's background score, Priya Seth did the cinematography, Hemanti Sarkar edited it and obviously written and directed by Raja Menon.
