Bonjour Have a Crappy Flight

(that’s what the translation to the title)

This was the first time I had flown by Air France.

::::DATE:::: Feb. 10,2003

I reached the International Airport, Atlanta. I was feeling all kinds of emotions from happy, sad, excited, nervous…passed through the High Security (took me 2 hrs.) – its actually pretty good timing!

Btw, if you were wondering why nervous and sad – cause it was the fist time I was flying alone with my best friend. But, yeah I did come to U.s alone with my younger brother when I was 11 years old. But I think I wasn’t so much as nervous then excited to see my parents are one year.

Anyways, Finally reached our terminal had some time to kill so we had lunch @ the airport plus some guys tried to hit on us…that never boring does it?

{ Interruption:::: The funny part of this hitting on was that they thought that we weren’t from Atlanta and offered us to take us around town. (hehehe!) }

We finally board the plane and get settled in…now just when we are expecting to take off – the pilot comes on and tells us there is a problem with the plane and we have to board some other plane. Now there is another emotion added ::::: annoyed!

It takes about 2 more hours to board the other plane, here I m worried that our connecting flight will be on time and we won’t have enough time to catch up to it.

:::::with worried mind::::: I try to get some sleep and have fun watching The Tuxedo.

:::::Food time! :::: Now, there was a choice between veg. Or non. Veg.. Most planes that I have flown with has Chicken for non.veg…but French is different…guess what they had???

DUCK! Yuck!!! Ewwwwwwww

So I take the veg. (oh btw. I don’t eat any sabji- hard to believe but I really don’t even eat aaloo unless its fries). :::::Food was cold and nasty.::::: I just at the fruit salad.

8 hrs of the flight – I didn’t get any sleep, movie was boring, my friend slept the whole flight.. I was tired!

We finally reach France, Airport and Find out that our plane is on time. No time to waste we RUN! I mean RUN!!!!!!!!! RUN like the wind. Finally catch a Bus and reach the terminal just in time to get on. (uuufff) Can you imagine us running with 2 heavy carry-on/s around the whole airport.

:::::More 9 hrs to suffer::::

We were tired. ::::I slept!::: The seats were so uncomfortable, food was awful, hostess was a guy and not nice ( I think he didn’t know English).

But made a nice friend, the guy next to us was on tour to India for a week for business. It was nice to talk to him but he was too flirty so we just Goodbye then at the airport rather than we had actually promised to show him around in Delhi.

Finally Reach our Final Destination, ::::::Meri Jaan Mera Bharat, :::::: what do I feel first – Hot and humid! But a sense of relief that I don’t have to go through another horrible Air France.

: - (

Anyways, I thought all our troubles and humiliation was over by now…but wait…Can you imagine us trying to get those huge 4 HUGE bags as they rush by. Ugh! Hai hai….kitni pareshaniya bechari hum dono ko mili….but wait we are tooo special….the guy next to us saw us trying to get one bag together – so got the rest of the bags.

Indian Guys are so NICE!

Lets just make it short, When I was coming back from India – there was yet another problem in Paris and Had to change flights and wait for almost 4 hrs + 6 hrs of wait. Finally reached Atlanta. Guess what? With Chicken Pox….so lets say Air France is not so good to me as it might be to others.
