Good concept ,Very poor Execution !. Review on Ah Aah Movie

Ah ..aah

Before any of our friends jump into why I have given 3 stars for this movie .....please read my review .

I will mention the + ves and - ves and say how will this movie would have been different if he has shot in a different way !

1.Very good story line - the concept The concept of two guys staying together before marriage ,getting seprated due to ego problems and their own memeories bringing them together .

2.Good plot points .Its is reasonable that the hero starts doubting the heroine based on what has happened to his friend .

3.Few scenes like the one where Sj Suryah doubts the heroine and goes to her hotel to verify his doubts - They have been enacted veryw ell by Sj Suryah

4.Good songs by AR Rehman

5.Urvasi ,Mayilsami ,Santhanam provide a few smiles

-Ves ( alot !!!)

1.The scenes don't convey anything .Many scenes you will find that the scenes do not provide any information about the character .Does this scene say that the hero is ajovial guy ? what is his character ? how much does he love teh girl ? What is his inherent character ?

2.Too many A Jokes .A jokes are definetely ok ,if they don't appear akward .Before all the purists jump on me ,read the last section of the paragraph .

These A jokes unfortunately are un necessary in this movie .They don't add any value to the scenes .

3.Nila - Pathetic dialogue delivery .She si beautiful and has good expressions but her dialogue delivery is bad .Thankfully she is helped by the dubbing artist .

4.Plot points are not supported well .The 0plot points are good but the build up to the plot point and the story after the plot point weakens it .For example ,Sj Suryah has established a nice plot point of 'a boy doubting agirl based on some similar incident ' but has totally made a mockery the seriousness of what happens after the plot point .

5.Memories - A glorious opportunity wasted .How beautifully could they have expressed this ? Sj Suryah has chosen to execute the concept of memories uniting the lovers as a humorous one - this is ok ,but is not consistent with the plot point .What has happened is that the plot point is serious ,the execution of how the plot and the knots are resolved is humorous and sexual -comedy - this is a HUGE mistake sir !

6.Sj Suryah - One reason why NEW succeeded and this flopped is that in NEW his acting was fairly consistent and his character is fairly clear .Thats why even when you had lot of A jokes ,people liked it a bit ( though he wasted a glorious opportunity in that movie by making it a sexual movie) as teh A jokes seem to jell with that topic .

( Readers ,please don't assume iam supporting A jokes - iam just saying it went ok with that theme ,though I felt Sj SUryah has wasted a glorious opportunity of an excellent theme )

Sj Suryah 's acting is not consistent with the character .First of all his character is not clear - what are his feelings ,what does he think about life etc .hence teh viewer is confused abt what is this doing !

1. BGM - Sory ARR sir ,ur songs have been wasted in this movie -It seems u have really struggled to score BGM for this inconsistent movie .Not even ur predcessor raaja cld have done a great job in this movie .

8.Direction - Just pathetic .It is surprising to know SJ Suryah who knows when to underscore has failed to apply that .All the A jokes in this movie should have been underscored and the feel that the lovers love each other has been pushed to back seat .Everything -camera angles ,expressions ,dialogue delivery do not convery anything to the viewer.

Now the last section of what I feel was teh directorial mistake .I want to take bad scene in this movie and re-do the scene .

There is a scene in which Sj Suryah and Nila are there in the beach ,with Sj Suryah resting his head onNila's lap .There are few A jokes that occurs and the heroine asks the hero to see the nature love it . A flower falls on her and the heroine asks the hero to relate this flower to their first time Love confession .

As such this is a wonderful scene ! This should have created an impact that the hero and heroine are very close ,they will remember this moment for ever ..so that in the future scenes this will be an 'effective Memory ' which will be a catalyst for bringing them together .All I remembered was the A joke in the end .Probably the director could have handled this in a different way .I have tried my own version here .
