In India, adventure now has a new address in the city:) Not long ago, Adlabs Entertainment Limited came up with a new concept and gave India its first ever only international standard theme park.
Just as Imagica was enjoying visitors from all over the country, the owners got it a whole new neighbour – Aquamagica.
Situated on the Mumbai-Pune expressway, Aquamagica opened its doors to public on 25th September, 2014. It is build on the same lines of Greek island Mykonos.

t is undoubtedly India’s best water park. So I went here with a bunch of my friends. We reached the place at 10 am. There was a long queue for the ticket but since we had already booked tickets onle, we got an advantage over others ans were directed to the bus that takes you to aquamagica. However, there was a long wait for the bus too. But never mind, our excitement to get in was way too much.
We got in at around 11 am, got into our costumes and were all set to explore this new adventure ?. If I am not wrong, there are 12 water rides and attractions. We had a map to guide us, but it did not last long as it tore apart because of water. We had researched enough to not waste time and had few rides on our must-do list.
Starting with the best and scariest ride, ‘Loopy Whoopy’, trust me, this ride will get your heart in your mouth, It is an extreme ride that has a 90 degree free fall in its start followed by a loop. This ride is totally thrilling and breathtaking.
Coming to Swirl Whirl, this is one of its kind. Halfway through the tube, it drops you into the funnel where you undergo a few oscillations(vertical) before plunging into the water. It is thoroughly entertaining.
Zip Zap Zoom is a fun ride where you have to sit in a tube which passes through enclosed slide. The slides are in multi-lane fashion.
Raftaastic is a light-mind, no-tension family ride. It is open for guests of all ages.
Splash, my personal favourite because I love body slides that are open, meaning not enclosed. So this is my type. It has steep turns that will make you feel as if flying.
Boomerangoo, this is similar to shot-and-drop of Imagica.
Advantages:
1) The rides are unique. So you will enjoy for sure.
2) In this heat, a trip to water park is very much needed.
Disadvantages:
1) The food is very very expensive. I mean it. Something like a burger that will usually cost 70-80 bucks, at Aquamagica, you will end up spending 200-300 Rs.
2) There’s no shade at all. To top it, the rides are at a distance from each other and you will end up with burnt feet.
3) I understand dress code should be compulsory but they impose their own rules and don’t let you sit in particular rides reasoning that the material or frill is not apt for the ride. Finally, you are forced to buy their costumes from stores inside for which they charge heavily.
4) The waiting time is really frustrating. For every ride, you got to wait for minimum 30mins. But anyway, once you experience the ride, you realise it is worth the wait.
Conclusion: I would say visit this place once because I have never seen such rides anywhere. So for me, this was a whole new experience. However, the disadvantages cannot be ignored. So I leave upto you to decide for yourself whether to visit or not.
