Hey friends few months back suddenly my default web page(Home page) kept changing from rediff.com to http://www.mynet.co.nz/mynet/wanttobe.html. As this started happening frequently, I thought it was some computer's registry problem....BUT... Sorry was wrong..): It was an spy attack...

Then started my search for a good spyware/adware remover which can actually help me out. Does the cleaning properly and was free of cost, were the 2 factors I had to keep in mind while downloading one..It was hell of a job as my exams were coming nearer!!!! Actually after reading the other 3 reviews I was not eager to download Ad-Aware SE till it's recommendation came through many people. I tried it out and believe me it is just Superb :)

It is a very useful program for particularly every home user having different forms of spyware or malicious software’s in their hard disk which get automatically installed. This softy efficiently detects and also removes dialers, trojans, malware, aggressive/threatening advertising, Parasites, Scumware, Internet Browsr hijackers, info-mining and tracking objects.

(Himanshu bhaiya, give this a try. This one also beats Spy Doctor..)

I know that we cant judge a software on having looks but this one has got it. Light blue and white combination skin gives the whole thing a pleasant scene. Talking about the installation, it's a mere 2.72 MB file which takes not even a minute to get installed & start performing a system scan. You need to follow the same procedure which you often follow while installing an another software etc....Hey the interface is plain and navigation has never been as simple as this one..The main window shows all the required statistics on running like:

a)Last System Scan

b)Objects Removed

c)Objects Quarantines

d)Total Spyware Scans.

e)Definitions Version

What?? Features??Yaar tell me one thing what does a spyware/Adware software do???? The answer is so simple- :

1. It scans the whole hard disk including the- System Registry, All folders and files also the ones in the System's Root Folder, The Current Running Processes and Modules. for the above mentioned threats. After the scan is over, you are shown the results in full detail. That means it shows you the list of objects that can be neglected plus the scan log.

Note:The spyware/adware etc which you do not want to delete is then quarantined and then also your system is safe.

1. A special tab is there know as the Ad-Watch..

Unfortunately this one is available only for the users who have bought the full-fledged version of the software. When it's on, in the background keeps a check for an spyware intrusion & if found any , alerts you for the same immediately. In another words-With this feature you can surf the internet without any worries actually.

1. Through the tweak settings feature, we are able to modify many expert settings of the scanning engine, cleaning engine, Log files, User Interface and Many More!!.

You need to update the software daily as new the database is updated on their main website as soon as a new spy has been discovered..:) The update process generally takes 3-6 minutes for completion-usually depending upon your Internet Speed.

I give the whole softy 8.2 out of 10..!!
