I recently travelled to Mahableshwar via Swami Travels. The entire experience of travelling via this tourism was a disaster and a wrong decision in the first place, altogether. Every tourism has some sort of monopoly with hotels/restaurants on the where, where the bus halts for customers to eat and drink some beverages. Similarly, Swami Travels has a monopoly with AaravZ restaurant. On the forward journey, I didn't really eat anything. But while on the return, we got down at this restaurant and ordered for a Schezwan Rice. It was really pungent the first time, so we requested an exchange.
In just a span of les than 30 seconds, the waiter arrived with the exchanged order. I was quite certain that they haven't changed our food but placed the same content in a different bowl. This confirmed when I tasted the food, which was same pungent. So, we asked for a plain fried rice. We had the fried rice, which tasted awful.
Now, the bill arrived with charges applicable even for the Schezwan rice. When we told teh waiter that it is unfair to charge for the Schezwan rice that was pungent and their chef's mistake, he was not ready to barge in. In few minutes, a bald and badly spoken man who claimed to be the owner of the restaurant arrives and insisted that we pay whether it was their mistake or if we didn't eat.
He literally created a brown and started to threaten us. He said that it was his area and his bus, and until we pay, he won't let the bus move. The tone was so harsh, and since we were not even localites, this bald of a goon terrified us in the most creepy manner. He was screaming on top of his voice, and made us pay the money. We had such a great time at Mahbleshwar, but it all got wiped off by fear because of this incident. I was not able to sleep in the night at the person's voice was echoing in my ears. We talk of India and a liberal and democratic country, but goons like these still run restaurants and horrify patrons. This was one of the worst experience of my life.
