Aankhen is truly something different thats been attempted in bollywood.

the movie is about a schiziophrenic bank manager( amitabh ) who gets sacked from his job becoz he takes the law into his hands for punishing his staff for wrong doings. and he then plans a plot to rob the bank to take revenge .

here he hits upon a novel idea to get 3 blind guys trained to rob a bank . this is where akshay , arjun ramphal and paresh rawal come in.they play the 3 chosen blind men . and to train these 3 amitabh blackmails a blind school teacher ( sushmita sen ) by keepin her young brother in captivity.

the plot then shifts to the training of the 3 guys ..till they get set to pull off the robbery . all this while amitabh stays in the background not giving away his presence to the 3 guys.

and then its the robbery time ......the manage to rob the bank and double cross amitabh ....and the movie takes a turn....

what happens next ..well go and watch it its quite intriguing.

the performances of the cast is first rate .

amitabh is brilliant ...the way he changes from a manager to a desperate revenge seeker to a full blown villian who will do anything for the booty is amazing. mind blowing performance.

paresh rawal - one word to describe this man ...magnificient. he has the role that generates the most laughter . he plays a blind beggar singer on local trains in bombay and he manages to bring the house down with his one-liners .

akshay kumar - his performance is surprising..hes improved by leaps and bounds and here he gives a fantastic performance as the blind guy with a strong sixth sense . the way he thinks that someone is present in the whole scene.is good

arjun ramphal - has the most weak characteriasation and though he is good in the acting department his character is weak.

sushmita sen - is very good as the helpless trainer . she has a strong character and does full justice to it.

the movie has a brilliant first half where the 3 guys are trained and they build quite a rapport amongst themselves. the trianing sequences r shot well too ....and the build up till the interval for the robbery is great..

the 2nd half of the movie falters somewhat . the robbery is actually not that exciting and the double cross that happens keeps the viewer interested..the ending is different too though hindi cinema liberties have been taken during the climax scene...

thankfully there r 2 songs besides the title number and the script stays focussed on the aim ie the robbery

all in all a good movie with something really different attemped.
