This isn’t particularly an experience I have had myself but my friend had it and shared with me. But I felt it important enough to be shared with everyone who is willing to purchase something from this place.
Owing to the modern lifestyle, everyone feels the need of a vehicle so as to serve as an active mode of transportation. And when the four wheeler is out of the budget, we often settle for the two wheelers. My friend, who happens to reside in West Bengal, purchased the TVS sport bike from the AT TVS showroom in Dankuni. The bike cost him about Rs.42000 and everything was settled as smoothly as they could be. But soon the real problem started.
Now AT TVS Dankuni is a dealer of bikes and services and they have been doing it since a long time. The problem with them is that they are said to replace the original parts of the bike they service and instead put some duplicate machinery. Even though it sounds weird, it is true because my friend had personally experienced it. The showroom which otherwise serves as a service center as well completed the first mandatory servicing of the bike within a few minutes. Now as per my friend, they asked him to submit the bike and return after half an hour. When he did, the bike had been in the same position untouched though they claimed to have serviced it. Nothing change could be observed as the bike had just been bought a few months back.
The AT TVS service center provides a very ordinary servicing for the free service bikes and it feels like almost untouched once they are done. A very little emphasis is given to the free-service bikes and more emphasis on the paid servicing.
Moreover, even though they claim to have a fully automated servicing, the things are all handled manually. It is acceptable but the finishing is not that good either which makes its servicing a questionable affair. Another thing is that, two years after my friend had purchased the bike, when we took the bike to another service center because AT TVS lacked a certain equipment, they told us the bikes carborator had been replaced and some much exclusive parts had been replaced with some inferior models. This came as a shock and something like this was never expected of them. Though we didn’t accuse them of anything cause we had no proof, we didn’t approach them again for any servicing.
I think its not the entire company but a few individuals among them who do such cheap stuff and this in turn hampers the entire company. So far, the experience has not been good. Not recommended.
