Don't even think of buying this
I took this service by looking at the ads. Ya, initially it was good at some parameters.
But one day I was in hurry to upload my official documents to my new company(supposed to join). As it was 28th of that month(Friday), by that till it reached FUP.
So I gave request to upgrade from FUP by paying 180 rs. That Payment transaction was successful. But still I was getting lesser then 1 kbps speed.
So I called customer care and asked for support. A lady CSA took the call, I told my problem. She showed sympathy(not empathy). After that the conversion was as follows,
Lady(CSA): "I have taken complaint and it will get resolved with in 3 working days".
Me: "what are the working days?".
Lady(CSA): "its from Monday to Friday".
Me: "Its Friday evening, so your support team will resolve it on Monday, that means on 1st of next month right?"
Lady(CSA): "Yes sir"(in an hurry)
Me: "Anyway on 1st of every month I will get high speed data. So its not necessary for your support team to resolve on 1st of next month. I have recharged Rs.180 to get high speed day for the next 2 days, that is 29th and 30th of this month"
Lady(CSA): "Sorry for inconvenience"
Me: "I have paid money to get benefit for next 2 days of this month so you have to resolve it before the 1st of next month".
Lady(CSA): "Sorry sir, as per our company policy, its week off on Saturday and Sunday"
Me: "That's fine, at least you need to give support right?"
Lady(CSA): "Non of the employee will work on Saturday and Sunday".
Me: "Ok then, my problom won't resolve till Monday, that is till 1st of next month right?"
Lady(CSA): "Yes sir"(with out any concern)
Me: "Come on madam, we will pay bill for all days of the week. Anyway, as per my Bill plan I will get benefit of Speed data from 1st of next month. So please refund the amount(Rs.180), which I have paid now through online".
Lady(CSA): "Sorry sir, its not psbl"
Me: "What is this, are you cutting the jokes!?! if you can't resolve the issue then refund my amount. Else take request for the disconnection"
Lady(CSA): "Please take the request number for cancellation of your Broadband connection".
Later many people called from ACT to convince me to not to discontinue. But even they were not ready to refund my Rs.180.
Its almost 1 year from day of disconnection. Still I'm getting at least 2 messages from ACT for RECONNECT to ACT. I called( and Sent mail to) ACT and requested to stop sending promotional text or mail. But no use. I have fed up with ACT messages.
So don't even think to buy ACT or don't give your contact number to ACT. they will give you torture like anything.
Dear Mouthshut, please provide option of negative or ZERO star. ACT deserves it.
