I became an idiot too by going for that movie. But I had a good excuse - I was escaping some obnoxious guests.... I found the movie pretty mediocre and stupid though.
The "balatkar" joke and the "pants down" joke were cliches and just stupid overboard inserts. It was crass and embarrassing. And the worst was when the whole male class was shown to be present for a lady's delivery!! Couldn't there have been any better way to show humor? Or innovation?
And I don't know how many noticed how the dude Aamir in all his greatness and pride was clearly making fun of engineers when he himself is not even a graduate! So also that moron Chetan Bhagat - what right have engineers given these jokers to mock them? And the sequence where he is defining a machine - he thinks he is very smart - but if that is the way he would do his engineering he'd only get ATKTs and multiple ones. Engineering obviously is not common language. Tell those jokers that a diode and anode, transistor and microprocessors do talk "uncommon" languages - they wont even understand the ABCs of that language!!
Indians are fools to glorify such nincompoop idiots and bandwagon to say 3 idiots is a good movie. Only one concept was worthy of notice and that was the pressure that in general education can create on students....but the film offered no solutions at all. Like everyone has the luxury to even know what their true calling is at that young age and even if they knew would they have the luxury to pursue that calling!! Only the Khans thrive being "angootha-chhaps" because this is India and Indians know only to suck up to all Khans and Muslim movie folks and they know how to make good money by making fools of educated engineers too!!
By and by an idiotic movie. Waste of time. I liked Rann instead.
