In the end of this film where our leading lady (Katherine Heigl) gets married to the guy she used to hate all along the length of this film (James Marsden) she only confess her love for him and desire to marry in the last part of the film. This film is about a sweet girl who we all love to admire and be friends with. she cannot refuse anyone asking for help, she goes to pick up her sister
(Malin Akerman) from the Airport, refusing a party invitation from her very close friend Casey (Judy Greer) this friend is always teaching Jane (Katherine Heigl) to refuse people asking for her help. Also this friend keeps telling her to declare her love for the boss George (Ed Burns) Jane keeps mumbling very softly in
her mouth I Love you too for her boss. Her love for her boss is known by all her colleagues in her office.
Her boss (Ed Burns) is totally in debt to her efficient work, he cannot do anything without input of Jane , all his affairs are managed by Jane and she is badly in love with him, little sister Tess is on the look out for a nice guy to settle down in life, she is blond and tall and beautiful, she goes all out to snare George right in front of Jane the efficient secretary and elder sister.
Poor Jane (Katherine Heigl) side steps on every lie her sister tells to trap George and George is so taken up with Tess, he dates and decides to marry Tess right in front of Jane's eyes and this sweet girl cannot help but make many loveable expression with those beautiful talking eyes of hers. I just loved the meek ways I enjoyed the girl talk and dialogues are very witty and worth your time. While all this is happening Kevin the newspaper reporter is teaching Jane how to say no, he challenges her in saying no. She says no to lending 50 dollars and few trick dialogues he asks her for her drink, she says yes, and he wins in proving that she cannot say no to anyone. Isn't that wonderful to have a person like that around you, I am so surrounded with people playing me down and saying no to everything I need, well this happens only in films I believe.
Jane is so helping that because of her nature, people enjoy making her bridesmaid, she has 27 dresses to prove she was bridesmaid on so many occasions, what got me was the sweet protests this girl makes in every trying situations she is put into and those eyes of Katherine made her look so beautiful in all those situations
she even wears all the 27 dresses for Kevin to take photo of her in those dresses, Kevin being a newspaper guy wanting to have a feature or front page in his newspaper always begging his editor, writes a much appreciated article about Jane with all her 27 dress pictures, this is a achievement for kevin but even here
Jane feels like she is being used by the whole world because of her meekness.
Anyway the cast and the story are light but very enjoyable dialogues and good acting, all of this looked overall enjoyable I loved the thing that all the 27 brides remember her when finally she gets married, they all attend her wedding as her bridesmaid, there are a few gripping scenes about trials of love apart from that, this film is cute. I liked the thought when Jane finally kisses her boss, she misses that spark in the kiss which must come only with real desire of love, we are so much tamed in our thought and wants, actually we are chasing incomparable things for ourselves.
I felt all along this film, I am reading a romantic novel but with tasty Katherine hooking me into it. Last word, I loved that Indian friend of Kevin giving eyes to Casey, that was good. Loved the titles in the end, they were creative too. Yo! cuteness is pure and enjoyable by everyone.!!!
