If after 50 years of Reservation, we have not been able to bring up equality of the masses, we never will be able to!!
2)
Today we have more people who get through to higher ranks not by virtue of their merit, but by sheer virtue of their caste. And to say that we are a democracy where all are equal, feels like a big ZERO.
3)
In medical colleges, 50% seats go to reservation category, of the remaining 50% 1.2 % go to parliament's members children!, 12% for those from the national merit schemes, and the remaining for those in Open merit.
A student who is school first in his H.SC and a district topper,, fails to get admission to medical college, and he has to donate!!
and no,, it is not, that all the seats and jobs go to the really deserving people, if it had been so,, 50 years would have changed india by anything, those seats go to those people's children who belong to a particular caste, but have two maruti cars, 1 bungalow, 2 offices and what not!!!
This is the real state of affairs in most of the cases. At times my friends would say, I wish I had born in that caste!!!
I know this is a very one-sided view but I know this system is real CRAP, and WE DONT NEED IT!!!
not only that
i also believe that we should abolish the words CASTE and SEX from all the application FORMS whatsoever,,, India boasts itself of world's biggest democracy,, then let it be so,,, we follow the ideals of liberty equality and fraternity in our constituion, taken from french revolution,, but not a Single GOVERNMENT in Power has ever allowed anybody to be equal.
We are moving forwards to become developed world, so why do we need any BARRIERs at all,, no distinction, let merit be the only real reason to be chosen.
only When we make this country come out of Casteism and Corruption will we be able to dream about mera bharat mahaan.
India seriously needs an Iron leader/ Dictator..
