My Corolla would give me about 10km/l in the city (Bangalore). the Fluence gives me marginally over 9km/l. It is a new car (released in India just a few months ago) - so I am not able to comment on cost of spares etc. They do provide free servicing for upto 40,000km or 4 years. In the last couple of years alone, I have flown KF more than 50 times. I have experienced 2 flight delays of more than 20 minutes - one was due to a technical issue and they had to replace the plane and the other was due to bad weather. In all other instances, even where there is a delay of 10 or 15... minutes, I get an SMS informing me of the delay.
I'm not sure if we should be giving the airline such a bad rating based on a one-time experience. From time to time I fly other airlines including Jet and their (otehr airlines) services have dropped to such a level that some of them have begun to compete with Indian Airlines. I still think that KF stands head and shoulders above the rest of the pack here in India.Read More

gd_forever is right. normal banking practice is that you do not get interest credited to your account before the end of the financial cycle. some banks have anual credit cycles while others like hsbc have half yearly credit cycles and yet others have quarterly credit cycles.
coming back to the s...ervice of hsbc in india, I too have had a bad experience some time ago. I was approached by an 'associate' and requested to apply for a credit card. I had no use for an additional one as I already had Citibank, Stanchart and ICICI bank credit cards. However I was told that this was a special offer and that the card would be free for life. After much persuasion, I applied. Can you believe it, the application was turned down as the review board found that I was not eligible for a card. no doubt I gave them a piece of my mind and have vowed never to use HSBC in India again. I have banked with HSBC overseas for a couple of years - no serious issues there though.Read More

I agree - it is absolutely ridiculous to have your cheque bounce when you have adequate funds sitting inthe bank. No doubt they would have charged you a 100 bucks or more because the cheque bounced!
