I have had pathetic experience with their customer care too. I bought a new postpaid connection from customer care with Vodafone Red plan on 1st November and the SIM card was delivered to me in office on 2nd November. Rs. 300 were collected from me with commitment of number being activated in ne...xt 24 to 48 hours. It’s 7th November and I’m still struggling to get my number activated. As per customer care, I should call up the agency through which I got the SIM card. They cannot fathom the fact that I ordered the new number over phone dialing 9820098200 for Mumbai Circle. Vodafone is incapable of getting and managing new customers directly. They don’t have systems in place for this. After several calls I have learned that documents collected from me have not been submitted so the number has not been activated. There seems to be no tracking mechanism for inventory!! No one is asking me the reference number (mentioned on the customer copy of the form) and if I offer it, customer care have no idea what to do with this number. Their request is I follow up with agency from where I got my SIM card or visit the nearest Vodafone store. It’s shocking that such a large company continues to only believe in brick and mortar stores and are incapable of helping over phone or through any digital medium!! My sincere advice to new customers – if you do want to associate with Vodafone, do it via their stores. Customer care is ineffective at best and downright useless at best.Read More

I placed order number TOD100121976 in late night on 24th January 2015. There was no response for several days so I called on 30th January and was told that since I had ordered many products it is taking time and all products should reach them in 15 working days!! post which these would be deliver...ed to me. I asked for order cancellation if the order is not delivered till 7th February i.e. 15 days after placing order. There was no response on 7th February and I called back on 10th February to cancel the order; Was requested to wait till evening and details of my order would be sent to my email ID post which I can decide to cancel order, if I'm not satisfied with the projected delivery dates. I agreed. No email was sent concerning my order - though I did get a promotional email from them on the discount offered on products. I had a Tata Photon connection before and hence went for it again. My experience this time was miserable. My email to the Nodal officer: ''Dear Sir, I have taken a new connection in early September and have been facing a lot of speed issues since then. I have filed several complains and ...have had a visit from the technical team to my house wherein he changed the network to Photon Wiz so that I can atleast use the webmails which also I have not been able to use for long. I also got a free period from 17th September-2011 to 16th November-2011 to try the services free till the time the network team solves this problem. But there has been no improvement in speed. I have filed a complain on the speed issue after waiting for another 2 months, on 14th Jan-2012. My complain no 293765521. Max time of resolution was 16th Jan 9:00 pm. I called on 17th Jan and was told the resolution time now is 19th Jan as I was not rechable on 15th Jan. True I was not rechable at 9:58 AM and 9:59 AM on 15th Jan but there were no tries to my number after that.
