u put a very pragmatic spin to the whole thing
but shouldnt we be the change we wish to see in others?
agreed that it may be a little difficult to believe there is a Prem.
But i believe (and trust me i really do) that there is a Poonam inside you.
She isnt silly or regressive.
S...he is just someone who would rather smile than complain.
She is the girl that makes you wanna be a better man.
When you start believing in the Poonam inside you, i promise you, ur Prem will come, a little shy, a little hesitant, really a simpleton, a 'bholu' but he will come and take you to this world where there is goodness and commitment.
Vivah doesnt say there will never be difficulties.
It says that together...love will conquer all.
Poonam is Prem's inspiration
and Prem is not gonna let go of love just coz life threw a few spanners in the works
He says i know the reality of the situation, but i also know that you know that im not leaving with out you.
And love stands defined.
Sooraj believes love doesnt need sarso ke khet, or Switzerland
and i believe him.
Marriage, whether love or arranged, is ultimately a relationship between two families.
And here the two families come together with dignity.
Sooraj Amrita and Shahid have placed their fates in our hands.
lets not let them down
lets celebrate our return to innocence..at least for 3 precious hours.

kaustecc, trust me... when i had begun writing the review, all i wanted to do was to reach out to one member to mouthshut who will be kind enough to take my word and go watch the movie.
For me its important that a movie like this get its due.
We have witnessed a lot of movies based on NRI romance... rock the box office, watched Karan Johar and Adi Chopra serve us Archie and Betty with Indian names and the audience has lapped them up.
Sooraj Barjatya says that its okay if we are born in Delhi, Nainital, Madhupur or Dehradun. Our hearts can still beat and our love can still be true.
The only difference is that with Sooraj you know that he isnt doing it just for the Box Office, he is telling you something that he believes in ...absolutely,

So Kaustecc, pls do go and watch the movie, and after that...if you dont like it....pls do come back and call me a bloody fool
i will be eagely awaiting your reactions.

Nik, if u liked the review (and ur polite enuf to say u did) then pls trust me you will like the movie a whole lot more.
Its as good as i said it is and better.
But since you seem to be aware about the various aspects of movie making, here is a suggestion, and whats more...its free.. Nik, pls make... sure when u see it first u go alone. Pls allow yourself to be drawn into the story, dont miss a moment and you will be astounded by what you are getting to watch...next time around you will take your friends and family coz you will feel proud to present to them something you truly like... Amrita is a girl who is as good as the movie shows her to be. She is underrated and that is a shame. If you contribute a good review to the movie after watching it, it may help her to get another viewer, please do it, for someone who deserves it, coz Nik if you wont, then who will?
She is enchanting, no doubt
but more than that, she is talented.
Speak up for her now.
