I've an i10 magna and feel I could have gone for sportz instead. You can go thru my review: http://www.mouthshut.com/review/Hyundai_i10-168647-1.html You can decide between these two considering two factors. If you need a better music system compared to the one comes with sportz, you may need to... consider going for magna. The other factor is of course the cost. If you are ok on both these accounts, I would strongly recommend a sportz instead of magna.Read More

It depends on your preference. Nothing can match the convenience of AT. Anybody could drive it. And the ride will be very smooth irrespective of one's driving skills. (I haven't driven an AT yet - all the above are what I think about an AT :) ). And I guess we'll see more AT cars in the future - tha...t could mean better resale value too. Mileage of AT will be less compared to an MT car driven by a good driver. But, with the advancements in technology, I don't know how big a difference in mileage it could be. Given that you are going to learn driving in this new car, I would think you'll get the same mileage irrespective of MT or AT - at least for the initial 6-12 months. Of course, as I mentioned earlier, I feel it'll be difficult for you to drive another car if you learn driving in an AT car - I believe thats the only issue you need to consider. If you can live with this issue as long as you plan to keep your i10 AT, you can still go for it. But, personally, I feel an MT car is more fun to drive. If you like driving, I think you need to go for MT - this is my personal belief. May be it is because I haven't driven an AT yet :)Read More

I agree with joysec1 that you should go for sportz if you decide to buy an i10. As I mentioned in my review, I feel Hyundai did cut down a lot of features to equate the price of magna 1.1 and magna 1.2. I decided to go with magna because I didn't think through it (I just didn't want to put another 3...0k) and I wasn't sure how good the integrated music system was. You can make a decision after actually 'listening' to the integrated music system in sportz and studying its features. I feel you should be going with MT, especially since you are planning to learn driving in it. I feel if you learn in an AT car, you won't be able to drive any MT car - read almost any other car. Comparison with ritz is a whole new affair - I don't think anybody will give a clear cut opinion. I feel ritz is more cost effective - for almost the same price of i10, you are getting a bigger car. There's no comparison between the richness of the interiors, i10 scores there. But from what I've seen, ritz is more spacious, the boot space is more too, though its all a bit dull. Considering that ritz is a heavier car and is based on swift's platform, we can expect the mileage to be less. But it should almost be similar to i10's mileage. Ritz's front looks subdued and rear looks quite 'different' - in the most mild terms. Some call it radical, but like most others, I'll call it ugly. I don't know what maruti is thinking these days. I can see lot of customers turning away from ritz just because of the looks. Its time maruti go back to a more conventional car design. Read More

@bloresubs, yes, I drive a lot in Kerala and I face that blind spot issue all the time. I believe the issue is more prominent in i10 because the 'pillar' is a bit wider than normal and because there is no quarter glass.

I had an Alto which I was using for three years. It covered 37000kms and was giving me a very good mileage. But, I got tired with the power it was giving, especially when the AC is on. Finally, in January 2009, I decided to go for a car which would give me better power. I wanted a small car and ...Read more
