Absolutely great treatise on gas cooktops. Today all we can get are glasstops since homes are migrating from traditional stainless steel cooktops to plush looking glasstops. Thanks. I fully concur with your views. Though the failure you mentioned was a trifle bit early, it is oft said that systems today fail as soon as the warranty ends thereby causing heartburn to the owner. Your experience has been mine too with my LG Scarlet full HD LCD TV failing after 4 years of ...purchase. I was shocked to hear from the LG service engineer that my display panel has failed and it costs Rs. 20,000 to replace. Also he discouraged me from getting it repaired and suggested that I sell off the existing TV and buy an LED TV instead of changing the display panel. Luckily I could get my TV repaired(it was the display driver board that was faulty) from a private TV repair technician. What also surprised me was the service engineer mentioned that the average life of LED/LCD TVs today is no more than 5 years. We should all be concerned considering the huge initial cost.Read More

LG Direct Drive Front-Loading Washing Machine Best Performance

Very Useful I appreciate and was looking forward to such reviews. Especially the one on Direct Drive vs the belt driven is good and would have loved to find it much earlier in my search cycle. Very few reviews or none exist on front load machine selection and this is one that is good.
