Looks like everyone is giving wrong figures including NShariharan. I just cut and paste following from Hyundai.co.in site. So even if you take 1,500 Accents (which is higher by 500-600) even then Verna sale is 4,374. Even if you take 35% of this as Petrol it comes to appox 1,500. So looks like peopl...e at team-bhp also goofing figures. The segment-wise cumulative sales in the month of May, 2008 are as follows: A2 Segment (Santro, i10 & Getz): 34,328 units; A3 Segment (Accent & Verna): 5,874 units; A4 Segment (Elantra):14 units, A5 Segment (Sonata Embera): 41units; and SUV Segment (Tucson): 4 units. There is no doubt you see less SX4 on highways I travel Delhi-Chandigarh once a month and there are definitely more Verna’s on road may be 4-5 times compared to SX4. Similarly I was travelling on Bombay-Pune, Pune-Shirdi in April this year…..definitely less SX4. I don’t agree with every fifth car is SX4, over aggregation. I have been driving this car past 8 months ZXI is still ok to drive on highway (in terms of stability but nothing great) but VXI is very unstable at high speeds.Read More

I feel very sad when people are made fools and end up buying SX4.... http://www.mouthshut.com/review/Suzuki_SX4-144938-1.html

As per latest press release by Maruti they have been selling 5,000-6,000 DEZIRE per month so looks like 1,000 SX4 sale in May could be true. It is a fact since Jan 2008 SX4 sales have been falling.

Please avoid this posting as it by same person – Adidhar & Octavarium, someone who reads writing just told me. The abusive language used by Octv is similar to adidhar (since he just joint on June 8th and I have not commented before, how does he know my SX4 problems) SO PLEASE AVOID THIS POSTING…..it... is just meant to mislead people. Do your own independent research. Even the IP addresses are similar. I see Adidhar has been thrown out at 3 forums now he has created new ID to mislead people plus Adidhar is only 18 yrs old, we better tell the Income Tax authorities from where he is getting the money to buy SX4 and Corolla at such age. Or may be he doesn’t own any. FYI...Karthik even I drive ZXI with airbags & watch you words before I rip you apart.Read More

Five days is too early to write a review, first few days even new M800 feels like a Merc. It will be after you start getting problems followed by poor MUL quality come back and write the review. Nothing new you have said about the car. Ask people who have done 10K+ km they will tell you the poor per...formance (sluggish pickup), gearbox problem, poor mileage (10km/l max in city) etc etc - list goes on. I am surprised you liked the lazy engine of SX4. Factory fitted Muzic sytem is pathetic, horrible performance. Airbags are good in SX4, do you use them daily? lolRead More

The BLOG link very much works, I just now visited it….try again, cut n paste might not work type it in. Or google it or visit autocrust.blogspot.com and do search. But all in all jk.jee I like your style of writing you have ripped people happiness….conveyed the message politely with facts withou...t them coming to know of it. From their comments it looks like they are frustated, having sleepless nights, nightmares and desperately looking forward to get back to you with some crazy (only they understand) reasoning-logic. Bravo! Great show….they have no valid logic or words to support your arguments. Cheers!!!!!!!! Kya kareh gamand nahai hai :)))Read More

I don't know how people claim 13km/l mileage. After second service 2 weeks back and yesterday i did tank full still getting 10.25 km/l. Even Maruti auth service center guy says it gives 10-11km/l although sales people still say 11-12. The service center guy said 75 percent people claim 10-11; 20 per...cent below 10 and just 5 percent above 11-12 so may be you are in the 5 percent category. GAS GUZZLER - SX4. But overall nothing exciting about this car or waste time talking about it as you guys are suggesting. (from a SX4 owner last 6+ months).Read More

Je! Je! Je! ...very kiddish and amateurish logic with no authentic data to back your claim. Why go far go to indiacar.com or team-bhp.com etc and you will see when the first SX4 hit the resale market….you are really frustrated now :))) My SX4 came much later, I wish I knew earlier about it :(((

I feel sorry for your reasoning & understanding. As usual u would not have found details of this 55K discount? 20K exchange bonus; 20K corporate discount (if you work for any of their preferred list 30-35 companies, like HP, Microsoft etc) yes u r right MUL doesn’t figure in Microsoft or HP’s prefer...red list; 10K worth of MP3 player (MUL giving this in addition to 25K on VXI) and 5K for accessories. So it comes to same just give or take 5K. Infact for a common man not owning Hyundai product it is just 15K compared to 25K on SX4. Why you are so afraid of Verna Petrol, let the sale figures do the talking (now gap is just 100 cars)? Why only 70 percent or less people recommended this car on this forum? I am not denying 60-65 percent (these figures published by SIAM & Hyundai India, there can be certain dealer selling more diesel in a particular region) is Verna CRDI (3,500-4,000 total) but petrol is equally good at least better than SX4. Look at 65 percent drop in sales of Sx4 in just 4-5 months. It is a gas guzzler, lacks performance and quality. Indians don’t go for quality, just looks - read about Verna and SX4 on international websites and you will see why Verna Petrol is highly recommended car, diesel sells more in India due to relaxed pollution norms rest of the world Petrol is blockbuster. All the best & don’t get hyper (its just a car) if u bought a poor product everyone learns from mistakes. I am not afraid to say I made a BIG mistake buying SX4. Plz visit edmunds.com Talking about selling SX4 here is an important info….I was talking to dealers who buy/sell second hand cars said generally cars come in resale market after one yr of launch but first SX4 hit the market in July 2007 just 2 months after launch and the number has been growing ever since.Read More

Adidhar, I feel sorry for you and other supporter of SX4 on this forum as you have not given any solid reason to substantiate your claim which can be important for first time buyer while choosing a car. Looks are subjective and as you will see world over SX4 (edmunds.com) have given lesser points co...mpared to Verna...no wonder more Verna are sold even in India. Looks go a short distance but quality, performance stays on for ever. Hyundai is all set to join top 5 car producers in 2009, Suzuki is struggling at 14-15th position. Do you want more data (I have tons) to prove that Suzuki SX4 is poor in quality and overall performance. Talk logic and with authentic data.Read More

Karthik, looks like u too r paid by MUL Je!Je!Je! its ur frustation that's speaking with type of reasoning given....these figures are not fabricated just do ur research and all this info there on websites. Its ur money if u still want to waste on a poor quality product go ahead...what do u say of 25...K discount offered on SX4. Yes diesel does sell more but not 95 percent but 60-65 percent see SIAM March 2008 report. It is around 75-80 percent in case of Ford and Logan. Then to top all Maruti/Suzuki doesn't have good diesel technology, Swift-D not churning the numbers MUL would have expected. It was negative feedback by people like you for Accent that Hyundai just managed to sell 4 lac cars in 7-8 years. Maruti products are good for people who don't understand or deserve luxury. Look at old esteem or baleno 1-2 yrs down the road....sounds like a truck. Talking of Hyundai sale in US of A fyi.. they sell around 40,000 vehicles per month (so much for pronounciation), may be u r right if they did knew how to pronounce may be Hyundai would have sold 15-20 percent more. How many cars does Suzuki sell in US of A? You will be shocked. Due to poor sale figures Suzuki offering $500 worth of gas plus 0 percent financing - http://www.suzukiauto.com/ . I own SX4 and read my review on this forum I can discuss this car anytime any where, it is a poor quality product - Period. Made a BIG mistake buying SX4.Read More

I keep on travelling to Manila and Singapore but this time I visited after 5-6 months, MAN Hyundai has captured BIG BIG market share there right from Getz (flooded), Matrix, Verna, New Elentra, Tucson to Santa Fe. At an average I used to see 3-4 Verna in Manila per day but I was amazed to see so man...y Verna’s in Singapore and mostly petrol due to stringent pollution norms. Next to my hotel in Suntec City was a big car mart over the weekend I spend 2 hrs there amazing place right from Beamers to Ferraris to Jags to Honda, Hyundai etc. Suzuki has very small presence there they do sell (and I did see) few Swift but no SX4 on road. Keep in mind SX4 sold there is 2.0L with 145bhp (same as USA) but demand is very low, I asked the sales man why – it is mostly an off road vehicle (if you see the ads in US that’s what it says), shape not well received (and in India we love this shape), it is not a city car – higher CG (makes unstable at high speeds, 140 kmhr in Singapore is very common), engine not refined & noisy, poor mileage, pickup (although it is 145bhp) missing - overall Suzuki quality going down in last 5-6 yrs. People better settle for an SUV than buying a MUV. On top of this it doesn’t give the feel of money’s worth for compact luxury car. He had all the sale figures – 100-125 SX4 per month compared to 600-700 Verna per month (small country just the size of Delhi). Even in a highly competitive market like US Verna monthly figures are 2,600-3,100 range compared to 700-900 for SX4. People there (Singapore) love their cars, highly quality conscious and amount of money spent on accessories is just amazing. Before this in March I was at Bangkok even there I saw plenty of Verna (but less than what I saw in Singapore). After seeing things on ground around the world you don’t need rocket science to decide which is a better car, I am sure many of you also must be travelling to these places just see it for yourself. Vanshika, if u r getting 16+ on highways you will definately get 12+ in city but as u say most of ur driving is 1st and 2nd gear so might be tough. But people in my office who drive XXI or XI are getting close to 13 after 2nd service or 10,000km in Delhi-Noida-Delhi traffic.
