@aazam_y: Please understand that Bullets are always bikes with small niggles (if you are thinking of Honda like reliability) and you will always be able to live with it (if you are a little good at trouble shooting)... But the riding experience is always the best that no bike can come close to... emote that feeling. I would say if you are going for TBTS-500 then go ahead and have no doubts; This will be far more reliable in terms of 'just fill it and ride it' nature as compared to other bullets. One more reason is that the 500 UCE is now 4-5 years old technology and RE has fixed most of basic issues (we were the guinea pigs :)) and importantly has added lot more features. But if you first timer then go for a TBTS-350 (only major difference being EFI) and use it for couple of years (there are umpty ways to increase the power and extract the same on a 350, probably you can put that extra money to get these parts) But you want a bike that can be customized to suit your taste, then go for a STD-350 (or Electra) and start to change the parts there are a lot of direct fit parts to the STD-350/Electra... This will be a little costly affair on a TBTS since there will be need to tinker and weld at times... Read More

Illyasmd - Please dont mix words to suit your outlook and change the actual intent of the review. The crux of the review was (1) STD/Electra/Thunderbird are better engineered products than classic-500; (2) Plus the new engine on the STD/Electra/TB is a better reliable wholesome product. ... Having said that the Actual template of bullet is a proven machinary with comfortable and always unhurried and 'in-control' riding, which actually gives the pure riding pleasure. Again to feel that emotion you got be a 'MAN' (again no demeaning intended), it like nirvana and thats exactly what we are behind and the current company is cashing on. RE actually thinks that all the buyers are actually insane 'A$$H$$e$' who will buy anything that is branded bullet. Thats because the company is now owned by some 'Business Men' and not riders whose sole intent is to cash upon the current public craze and make money, its like 'Cricket' the true players seems to have gone away and only some stupid entertainers are performing. I would say that all the biggies in the world should come to India with an 400CC to 600CC templates of 'Liesure Crusier' or 'Sport Tourer' bikes and even at 3-5 lakhs bracket they will give RE a run for its money and probably then the company will invest in right bike designers and try to re-claim its position (Yes re-claim its position because to me it has already lost its originality) One more piece of info; If you know to be in a 'HOG' you either have a Harley or own a Bullet (the only bike apart from Harley that can be ridden in the group)....Read More

In fact people were so plain a few years back and if you stayed in some ’’home stay’’ the dearth of facilities as almost/always compensated by a dedicated and sincere service... nowadays people think that tourists/travellers are to be just robbed off and as if we just take pocket full of money just ...to give it off to somebody... where is "Athithi Devo Bhava" concept????Read More

After near 18 years of using a brand (you become a patron and almost a follower) it becomes difficult to accept the flaws in the product and normally I would refrain from bad mouthing (why say something bad while the product has been great until recently, I can overlook some flaws right!). But I...Read more

I've had a blissful 13 - 14 years experience on a STD-350 and a TB and had gone ahead with CL-500. Had some life threatening experiences and had written to highest order in RE, and its of no use. In fact my id seems to be blocked within RE's blog since I bought these quality issues there in the blog.... 1 thing I realized is that RE takes its customers for granted and we should remain as bikers, loyal to riding and not to the company. Non availability of spares is definitely a good point, which can be realized only when you experience the situation. Hope TVS guys are listening...

I have been using bullets all the while, from the old cast iron one to TB to recent C5. Just bought 2 months ago. I tend to agree with you on one point and that is the build quality. That's the only eye sore... Rs.157 K on road and there are some parts which cautions me that if I be a bit slack and ...they will rust. All my bullets needed dedicated Sundays with thinner's and turpentine and very carefully used to brush and shine and remove the rustings. Hope the same does not happens with the new one as well.Read More

Hi All, Owning this Bull since Sep-2005 in B'lore, by then the 2005 edition of ES/TB/Machismo were all just on the release and I think I might have been one of those early birds.... Before that owned an 1990 STD (2nd Hand) ...made some modifications to it and recklessly rode and again that...Read more

No rational approach of rating a product was taken. The user had used some junk fillers to cook up his comments.
