I am sure you must have had a bad experience but I am personally surprised to know about this. I am driving for not as long as you but it's about 11 years now and friving an Innova for last 1.2 years.... i am on the contrary, very impressed with the brakes. I usually drive consistently at 100 in the... highways, many a times i faced situations where i had to slam on the brakes. Each and every time the car impressed me with the response. But good that you brought this to notice so that many of us can investigate this and be more careful in future. Read More

When I finished reading the book “The Hungry Tide”, it was around 1 am in the night. I just kept down the book and hardly felt like moving from the chair where I was sitting. I realized that while going through the last few pages, I was actually into the story. I could feel the rage of the tide ...Read more

I have been filling up from Indian Oil stations at Old Madras Road & NGEF crossing and also from the Cox Town station at Wheeler Road opposite Food World and beside Gymkhana Club. But hey, for last 1 month I have started using Super Unleaded from Shell. The milage has gone up to 11 kmph+. However... I am yet to figure out if this is cost effective because the Shell Super Unleaded costs 54.47 per litre. Since Shell pumps are direct selling, you dont have to worry about unethical profiteering by the pumps using adulterated fuel. Read More

I was also getting 8 kmpl but realised that petrol from certain stations provide much better quality of petrol and the milage goes up significantly. Now I purchse petrol from just 2 pumps in Bangalore although it is very inconvenient. It gives me 9.5 to 10 nowadays which I think is acceptable for a ...2000 cc engine. So I would suggest look for a pump which does not sell adulterated petrol. Read More

You can be a good comic relief where everyone is serious and talking sense.

Thanks for the comments and sorry for coming back a bit late on your questions. To answer the first question, mileage is generally low but I shouldn't complaint really. As sujan roy has pointed out, oversized, overweight cars are supposed to have low mileage. The dealers would commit anything an...d its upto you to judge. I was told it gives 10 - 11. I used 10 kmpl for ease of calculations :O. What I really get is somewhere between 9 - 10 without AC. Read More

I had a test drive on Chevrolet Tavera and my review is just based on that. We went for a 10 kms drive on it. The route was carefully selected consisting of smooth highway, bumpy roads with craters, narrow by lanes and busy city roads. The pros first: The driving and passenger comfort in a...Read more

My Omni has been like an additional limb of my body since 1998. I first bought a pre-owned 5 seater Omni in 1998 (1994 registration) and drove that for 2 years. Then bought a brand new one in 2000 December and have done 38000 Kms since then. The pros first - Well, with a price tag of 2,45,...Read more
