You have mentioned '....and also the car has Air bags available in it.....' FYI, no variant of XYLO has airbags....the E8 ABS variant has only ABS.

hii...nice review and congrats on owning a XYLO. Thanks for mentioning about accessories...I am owning an E8 ABS. if I remember central locking and remote is part of standard E2. Did u hav to pay for it? Apart, the only minus I felt with E2 is 2nd row and 3rd row roof AC is missing and no option of ...captain seats. E4+accessories is also a good option. Nevertheless, performance wise it should be no different between E2/E4/E6/E8/E8 ABS As far as gear shift I thought the same in beginning but it wasnt really hard, I got used to within a couple of days. Its a bit tilted towards driver and you just need to come back to neutral and it positions itself for next gear. In specific I mean 2nd to 3rd while going up and from 5th to 4th while coming down. I never had problems with 1st to 2nd or 3rd to 4th or 4th to 5th. As for the lock, its a central lock...hence you have to pull up the lever at the driver’s window. If its already pulled up and u feel locked, try pushing and pulling back..that should help. Congrats on owning a xylo E8 abs. I too own the same variant. I got it delivered 2 weeks back and clocking close to 500KM I feel engine sound has increased in past few days. Apart, USB stick is not recognized even after formating it to FAT32. No other issues as of now.

Thank you for the wishes. I have written a review on how I chose my first car. I have driven couple of times on ORR hebbal to near KR puram. The drive has been smooth, takes the bad roads well. I will share further driving experience once I clock atleast 1000 KM or have a long trip.

@r_mukherj E4 is a good choice. Just make sure it has roof AC in 2nd row and 3rd row. E2 has AC only in the dash board which has to cover the whole vehicle. I drove E6 in test-drives which has no ABS. As I have learnt driving newly, I didnt exceed above 80 KMPH, braking was good at this speed...s, really dont have an idea in comparison to Innova or scorpio. If you know driving well I suggest take multiple test-drives of xylo, scorpio and Innova. I am seeing more xylo vehicles on road in bangalore and dont think sales is coming down. I had to wait for 5weeks for java brown colour (E8-ABS) The dealers frequently stock fast moving variants, colour. Apart, in this month(september 2009) there is a free extended warranty offer from mahindra. There are 3 xylo dealers in all in Bangalore, Sireesh Auto, India Garage and SKS auto. Prasad, very unfortunate...which branch of Sireesh Auto did this? I have booked a XYLO E8 abs Java Brown colour in 1st week of August at Sireesh Auto, Hebbal, Bangalore. The delivery was promised by End-August. I am now offered a Gold Shimmer or Black colour which I have refused. I came to know that... vehicle is only booked and not yet billed. Rexdude, Thanks for detailed and very useful review. Most of my FAQs are answered. I am caught between N77 and N82. N77 supports DVB-H and can watch TV where as N82 has a great camera and data features. Do you know if DVB-H is broadcast in Bangalore?
